Since there is no way to put every possible animal in the poll, I Googled the top ten most popular pets and used eight of those. I only used eight to allow for the option of “something else” and “never had a pet”.

Attaching poll. It’ll be multiple choice.

Dog, 2 cats, 3 ferrets.
 
Over the course of my lifetime, at various periods, I've had two dogs, three cats, some fish, a turtle, a white rat, and a tarantula as pets.

I don't have any pets now.

A golden lab, a border collie, two cats, three goats, a cow, a bunch of chickens and a rooster, and a turkey. :)
 
Had dogs and cats throughout my life, and one turtle when I was pretty young.

That's private, pal! But I'll tell you this much - he's a brindle-colored, 2 year-old, 100lb wrecking machine!
 
Currently 2 cats. In the past I've had dogs, cats, 4 rats, 1 hedgehog, multiple hamsters, goldfish (briefly of course), and 3 birds.

For several miles after leaving the parking lot, he realized the dog was still tied to the bumper :(
 
Had a German Shorthaired Pointer, she passed away a few years ago. Now have two indoor rescue cats. Outdoors we have several black snakes that live in the backyard and four squirrels that I feed peanuts to. And an armadillo I would like to relocate, have already trapped over 75 of them.
 
We now have two (outdoor) dogs (both mixed lab males that were dumped nearby) named Eddie and (the) Cruiser, one big (at least 13 year old) fixed male indoor cat and a bunch (15 or more - they are too quick to count) of mostly feral outdoor cats/kittens (one, a small female that we call Itty-Bitty, is not so feral).

I've mostly had dogs. A few years ago I was without a pet, so I got a cat. Given that he is self-centered, uncaring, lazy, a whiner, never listens and stubborn I nicknamed him "cat useless". The only game he plays is "dead cat". I leave him on my bed when I leave, hours later I return and find him in the exact same legs splayed out posture I saw when I left. Then I say, in a worried voice, "oh my gosh, its a dead cat". After a few minutes of me gushing worrisome concern he might flick his tail to indicate he is alive - tired of my mock fretting.

Otherwise he just likes to take my spot on the bed, and protest loudly when I make him move so I can lay down.

If anyone would like a little black cat, he's going cheap. I will ship in a shoebox with holes, 10 cans of Friskies, and all the cat toys he never plays with. He might look dead but "he's resting".

In my 61 years I've had five dogs and ten cats, split among two marriages.
I miss them all terribly and can't wait to see them when my checkout time comes.
Here's the current three:

Betty Boop, aka Boopers or The Boopinator is an unknown mixed breed but she looks like a 35 pound toy lab with greyhound legs.
The calico cat is Maggie, and she actually belongs to our daughter and the tuxedo cat is Fiona, aka "Daddy's princess kitty".
For some reason FiFi adores me, therefore I actually have a life.

Currently I have one dog, a terrier mix I got from the city shelter. All but one of my dogs were from different shelters and all have been great dogs.

I’ve heard rats are really pretty social animals.
 
I own an alligator farm, and I consider all those hungry, deadly beasts to be my "pets". People pay big money to ride on a boat through their lairs and feed them chickens and stuff. No customers have ever been killed, and only a few have lost hands and arms.

A while back I sent Trump an invitation and a free pass. Ungrateful fellow hasn't replied even though I copied the Secret Service to assure them the chances of an accident were really quite small- less than one in a thousand.

I've had dogs, cats, parakeets, a rabbit, fish, mice, a gerbil, a snake, a tortoise and a pair of finches over the years. Now all we have are three cats; and even they wear us out, lol.

(But I forgot the poll was multiple choice, lol.)

I have absolutely no authority over this thread so all I can do is ask that we keep Trump and politics in general out of it. Pretty please.
