Ulta or Sephora for me, usually.

Lowe's, Home Depot, Autozone.

Pretty much any trade specific store. They don't hire trade-specific knowledgeable people anymore. They just hire cashiers and shelf stockers.

guitar center

Home Depot, Lowes.....or any electronics store.

Pamela's Porn Palace.

Home Depot or Lowe's, if we're trying to decide on something specific but found conflicting information online, ie, which specific paint & stain was best for our deck given the climate and sun exposure. They're pretty knowledgeable.

Commie-Mart.

Home Depot, especially the plumbing department.

And I'm not even that good at plumbing.

About the only thing I give Home Depot credit for over Lowes is that at lowes, the only people there seem to be manning the cash registers or customer service counters. If you have a "where the EFF is this at?" question... at lowes nobody is around. And it's a question cashiers and customer service people can never answer. Although Home depot, workers seem to run away from you if you are looking at them as if you have a question to ask.

And rarely can they answer it without having to get on their walkie-talkie to ask someone else.

Any big box store, from bum wipe to wallboard to fancy wax candles.

True story. In a hurry in my gardening business I asked one of the employees if he knew where was the special on pyramid cedar and asked the last word escaped my mouth he said "over there in seasonal" and shifted just enough for me to see the pyramid cedar special he was standing in front of. His name tag had "team leader" under his name.

None of them...I hate to shop...just about the time I get used to where everything is in the grocery store, they up and switch everything around on me...
