Cute...Sinjin The Wonder Pup is 9 months and pushing 130# but he makes a terrible guard dog.

He is always looking for more love to come his way.

I'm a large, dog owner with two medium (mixed lab) dogs. ;)

I used to have a Newfoundland that weighed about 220 lbs. But he was actually a really good guard dog. He had a growl that sounded like a bear.

If someone should break into my home, all they have to do is rub my guy's belly, and he'll show them where the good stuff is. If he's it start raining, from a prone position of the floor, he launches into the air landing on my lap no matter where or whether I am sitting. When there is rain, their might be lightening and thunder.

Our three year old twin grandsons come to visit, he thinks heaven has arrived on earth, no matter how many times they poke him in the eyes, pull on his ears, grab his tail (which sends them flying) or sticks their grubby little paws in his mouth. Put a bowl of water on the floor, and the three of them try to drink from it at the same time. Not even the slightest warning growl, he just looks up and grins.

I kind of believe, this huge guy is great with children.

The best guard dogs are trained to let anyone in, but not let them leave without the right command.

We have had Three Newfs and one half Newf half lab the wife and I, and she grew up with Newfs....they dont talk much, but when they do....

Sinjin looks like a sure bet for at least 170#.

When you say large dog owners are you talking about the dog owner or the dog?
