Since when is "moths ate my shirt" a good look?

Apparently this is a fashion trend. I'm seeing it everywhere and I think it looks awful.

"I survived the apocalypse and all I got was this holey t-shirt."

It's not a great look. I'm not opposed to the "vintage" or "well worn" look but when you go full blown ragamuffin....

I don’t pretend to understand fashion.

It started with jeans first. So now it is tee shirts.

Every year it is something. The smart parents teach their kids not to follow lame trends.

are you kidding me?

now i can wear my work-on-the-car clothes to the store without having to change first. and for the first time in my life i am 'fashionable'

that said i will always relic my own apparel rather than paying someone to **** it up for me

Agreed! And they probably cost a lot! Give me some scissors and I'll do it for you for free.

I remember in my late teens being baffled when "holey jeans" first became a fashion. First, it was buying expensive jeans and deliberately tearing the knees; later it was buying pre-torn jeans at exorbitant prices.

Most of my early years, jeans with holes or patches was something you were a bit ashamed of....

$700 for a t-shirt? $79 is ridiculous but $700 and you're likely to implode from the vacuum that must be between your ears.

To think that our less fortunate are wearing the latest trends, for free. Seriously, and no pun intended, just an observation.
How many of them could we feed for $700 multiplied by all the nutcases who buy this overpriced stuff, just because someone who thinks he/she is somebody put their name on it?

Kids these days! :2mad:

i think that Joe Elliott may have started it with "moths ate my pants."

i remember thinking that it was totally cool back then. now i have to do my own laundry.

The one small problem with fashion... some out there will buy anything.

If they had any sense they'd be buying Member's Only jackets.

Still wearing my tommy Bahamas shirts.....the louder the better

Those tops really don't do much for me but I've never been one to follow the trend. Each to his own though, just wear whatever you're comfortable in. I just wear what I like and I don't pay big dollars for my clothes. I fell in love with this short lace kimono just recently and looked around until I found something pretty much identical for $17. My last pair of "holey jeans" were only $25 on special. Oh, happy days. To be fair though they only had one straight cut on the knees so they weren't your classic holes everywhere style.

I'm the same. I like things that are more classic instead of trendy.

Hmm I need to show my wife this thread, suddenly half my wardrobe is now fashionable!

Fashion? It's probably no worse than wearing white bucks, plaid pants, and a white patent leather belt with a buckle that has the head of a giraffe on it. Yes, I have seen this. It's etched in my memory for life, and is probably the main cause of my cataracts. My eye's are trying to protect me from seeing such things.
