In this instance, I mean passion in a good or productive way. I've heard it said "Find what you're passionate about and make that your career", but that's easier said than done. I mean, who wouldn't do that, passion is like rocket fuel...it makes whatever you're doing more vibrant and meaningful and gives you more focus. So imo, one is very fortunate to have any type of positive passion.

For some it's a career, for others it's family and/or friends, for others hobbies, and for some very lucky people, multiple things. What's your passion?

Succeeding in my new job number 1
Keeping my family safe number 2 (only because number 1 is needed before number 2 can be achieved)
Keeping myself reasonably fit through cycling number 3 (probably should be number 1 since 1 & 2 are dependent on 3)

Writing and art. Anything having to do with art and literature, really. (That includes martial arts as well).

I've never been married and no kids, but I had a girlfriend last year for about 5 months and it was really nice to be more motivated than usual to succeed financially. It felt good to have someone to care for.

That's cool. Is your career in art?

One of these days. The new Alien game is hiring for concept artist positions, so that's something to consider. (Yuuuug Alien fan right here). Been doing research into how to do a proper portfolio for the app.

Yes, it's definitely good to prepare just in case!

My job is one of my passions, I work with people with disabilities. My other passion, and my future career is animals, particularly insects and arachnids, which I'm pursuing by studying zoology.

I am just grateful that I just HAVE a job that allows me to pursue my passions.

1. Being an over-the-top good father, husband, and grandfather.
2. Fishing.
3. Playing music.
4. Hunting.
5. Giving stupid people **** here at Debate Politics.

Anymore learning, food and sex/power play are the only things that really get my motor running.

Wow, good for you! Do you mind if I ask what your job is?

No, not at all. I have a few jobs.

1. Property manage a high end condominium community on the shores of Lake Michigan. (Bigger than some towns I have lived in! )
2. I own and run a legal logistics company. Backgrounds, skips, service of process (subpoenas, summons, complaints, etc.,) court filings, document retrievals, asset discovery, etc. We serve coast-to-coast.
3. I manage and perform in a regional rock band.

The rest of my time is spent rolling on the floor with the grand kids, changing flat tires on my millennial son's cars (long story,) or fishing the flats in Florida or gently patting my lovely bride on the hinder as she prepares my supper. (God, I love that woman.)

I have spent most of this day snow blowing my, and my neighbor's, driveways and sidewalks, with my bad-ass snow blower. That, AND I learned (or re-learned,) the bass parts on "Young Lust, Boys of Summer, Slow and Easy, Radar Love, Love Song" for this week's rehearsal.

I am also a Lion's Club member and a Master Freemason and a volunteer Auxiliary Police Office for my local township. Yet, I still find time to drop in DP, my most favorite forum in the wide-wide world, and impress the masses with my daily droppings. :lamo

Awesome! I feel pretty content but have to admit I admire your life.

Man, I'm just trying to stuff 10 pounds of **** in a 5 pound bag. I'm not getting any younger.

I spent my younger year's chasing women, wine and song while tripping pipe on oil-rigs scattered around the gulf. Thank God Uncle Sam's NAVY got a hold of me and straightened me out.

I THINK I have come to a place in life where things now make sense and my priorities are intact.

Now, I'm just making up for lost time.

Advocacy for those in need. I absolutely HATE abusive practices by governments, private institutions and individuals. Few things in life make me happier than getting someone who has been abused or abandoned the help that they need. To that end, I am also passionate about helping people learn to help themselves when they are capable of doing so. If someone is capable of helping themselves and chooses not to I lose a good bit of that passion that got me involved in the first place.

Writing and art. Anything having to do with art and literature, really. (That includes martial arts as well).

Same here. Music, art, and poetry.

Of course I am passionate about my family, blah, blah, blah. ;)

But otherwise, I am passionate about reading, writing, and learning about science and philosophy with emphasis on the brain, consciousness, astrophysics and quantum physics. “Basically” I am just trying to understand the nature of experience and existence. I am not a scientist and would never be able to earn as much money as a scientist as I do in my day job. But my day job provides me enough money to explore any hobbies and passions that I wish.

Zoology. Paleontology. Philosophy. Geography. Writing.

Music is my absolute number one passion, definitely. I work, study, have a girlfriend & an amazing family, but my band is really the thing that gives me the drive to push through. Start a band guys, it's really worth it.

The problem I see in work places private sector and government jobs.... is that too many people's passion is to move up. They want the power but don't have passion for the work or how to make things better or have any ideas at all. Just a drive for the power.
