What a tear-jerker:

Several Cabot police officers waited for them at the shelter. After a prayer, the law enforcement officers all formed a tunnel for Grabill and Pajti to walk through as they entered the shelter. Pajti, even with a limp caused by the large tumor in his leg, and tired from all the attention, kept his smile as he walked past them.

Grabill said he was pleased so many people took the time to honor Pajti.

"They’re a part of our lives," he said of deputy K-9s, "but we’re all of their life."

Even if you don't love dogs, or respect LEOs, the love this man had for his partner, and the respect they had for their fellow officer, can make even the hardest of hearts melt.

one of the officers i know in Prince Georges is a K9 unit

sometimes i think he loves his dog more than his kids...just kidding, but it is close

Special job, special dogs....my respect to all who train, and who ride....

They make our lives better and safer everyday

From the bomb sniffers, to the drug dogs, to the dogs who find the buried bodies
