So, I’m officially done with my first semester of college! Woooooo! I got done with my last three exams yesterday. I haven’t got the grade back on my History exam yet, but I’m feeling pretty confident about it. I got high B’s on both my Music Appreciation and Government exams though, which is great. All that studying was ****ing worth it. Feels so damn good to be done with; like a giant weight being lifted off my shoulders. I’m heading back to H-Town this afternoon; I’ve got all my stuff packed and ready to go.

This semester has been fun. It’s been hella stressful at times, certainly. Took a while to get used to it. And I’ve had my fair share of awkward experiences. But for the most part, it was fun. Have a lot of amazing new friends now, despite my social anxiety and awkwardness. I’ve gone out way more this semester, than I think I ever have before.

Now I’ve got a month off from college. I’m gonna make the most of my time off. I’ve got quite a bit planned for my break. I’m gonna go see The Last Jedi with my sister. ****ing cannot wait to watch that. And I also cannot wait to meet Oliver (our new dog) for the first time. Hopefully he’ll like me. My girlfriend's coming home from UNM on Saturday, so we’ll definitely be going out places when she’s back. Gonna be hanging out with some of my old friends, too.

This is the first time in 10 years that I have not taken most of December off. Usually I'm basking in sunshine right now. Well, come to think of it, I sort of am in sunshine since I'm in Phoenix at the moment. But, it's not the same as sipping fruity drinks with umbrellas in them while sitting by the pool. :(

Our company is giving us the last week off, and I work at home. I plan on doing a ton of bike riding on my new electric bike (about a 28 mile range with pedal assistance), I have to do a drive down to the border at Los Algodones Mexico to buy some prescription meds which will take up half a day. Rest of it is going to be sleeping, drinking, eating and general slothitude.

What sucks is, I can fly most anywhere for free, but this being Xmas break...good luck getting on a flight..grrr....I'd rather have the week off in an off season time and shoot off to somewhere exotic and many time zones away.
 
Hey, I have a pool, umbrellas and fruity drinks...but you don't want to go swimming, even in Phoenix this time of the year.

I will be playing carpenter over winter break. I have been renovating my basement with my dad for the past year. Unfortunately college has really held up progress. I'm almost done with the wiring and drywall, and then I just have paint and flooring to go. I feel like a 200lb weight has been lifted off of me after this semester.

My biggest regret in college was not forming more lasting friendships. Take advantage of your time while you can.

Did you like the movie?

I'm "deployed" in Poland at the moment and our leadership was kind enough to give us a 4 day pass. Dunno what I'm gonna do yet.
