Governess 1, Math 0

So, I took my Math exam today. I studied as best as I could, but even still, I was worried about how I was gonna do. And this exam pretty much determined whether or not I was gonna pass the class. And thankfully, I passed. I got an 80.

**** you, math. I win.

Well done girl.

Arithmatic tests should be a pass or fail like a driving test. Hard but if you can work out what you will pay of a 12% loan over 5 years you pass.

Then, there is maths. This should be the algbraic stuff. Only really taught to those who will use it. Engineers, scientists etc.

Yes, I have 3 more to go. Music Appreciation, History, and Government. But I'm really not worried about them.

As a Philistine why would anybody teach/pay to learn music appreciation? Like it or don't. I will not let others tell me what I like.

There are few things in school more satisfying than knowing exactly what you have to get on the final to get a desired grade in the course, and then getting that on the final.

Happened to me a couple times and I'll never forget them. Made all the struggle and all the effort worth the while!

Yup. Feels so good!

OK, since you passed, I've got a quick question for you. Say you just inherited $100k and you're interested in your future you decide to make the best possible use of that money for the long term. Do you:
a. Purchase a single premium, life annuity at a guaranteed 6%
b. Use it as a down payment on a decent house in a good neighborhood and finance the remaining $150k of the mortgage for 15 years at 3%
c. Invest it in a growth mutual fund which has a 25+ year track record averaging in excess of 7%
d. Pay off your student loans and use the remainder for one of the other options
e. Head to Vegas and put it all on Black

Well, the answer is e of course.
