(Just taking a wild-assed guess that many of our older posters (of which I am one) may not even know it’s available with ease. Just select the microphone on your pop-up keyboard. You need to add the punctuation verbally as you dictate.)

All of my friend’s are active testers. I USED TO HATE THAT until I began using the voice option. My keyboard is too small for my little fingers... autofill made me nuts. Now I use texting all the time with ease by dictating my entries.

God YES.. All the time and for years. And the Google/Android voice to text has improved tremendously over the past year or so.
 
The errors created by voice to text could make your phone one of your worst enemas.

Haven't tried it since it sucked, but I voice search everything and still get mistakes.

Only people I know who actually do this are old. Old as in my MIL's age. :2razz:
 
Yup, use it at times, more so on the phone, and find the results very amusing.

Totally agree, I never see people under 30 never use the voice-to-text function. When my mom uses it I'm like "OMG MOM LIKE STOP RIGHT NOW YOU'RE LIKE SO EMBARASSING ME"

I tried it a while back but it was't much use. There is a function, however, that sends a voice message in a text. That comes in handy some times.

I rarely text, so I don't use it the way you are talking about. But I DO voice search...all the time. I use voice in Maps...all the time. And I have a shopping list app that accepts voice input.

I've been typing on a keyboard since I learned to type in high school. I am very fast with all ten fingers. ( :cool: ) But I can't stand those little, tiny, two-finger keyboards on phones.
