No, but I'm guessing someone did as why you posted it.

Yeah, it blew up on instagram when a company posted it. Many people said it was racist towards Asians, but many people said it wasn't racist at all (including some Asians).

My first reaction, never having heard the term before, was "likely not", but when I looked it up it seems like it probably is, historically speaking at least. There's a sing-song sound in it that kind of mimics east Asian speech. (to western ears)

As an American of 94% Irish ancestry I'm deeply offended by the careless use of the word potato. In fact I am going to report your post. Shame on you.

I wouldn't call it racist. It is very dumb for a company to do considering the "ching chong" part, but that is light racism at worst.

Not racist, just stupid.

Racist? No. Kinda sorta racially insensitive? Maybe. "Ching Chong" is used for making fun of how Asians speak. I don't think that was the intent here.

I don't really think it is racist. That said, if it said nigger instead of ching chong I might think differently?

It's not saying anything offensive about Asians. I think a company would have thought about this better. Didn't Colbert get into some trouble because he said something like this?

btw, it doesn't even make sense to me. What are they trying to say? What is the point?

I don't know if he did, but Rosie O'Donnell said something like this.

How much tomato do they use in Asian food?

Not only do I have Irish ancestry as well but I also live in Idaho, the Spud State. So I find it racist AND bigoted towards Idahoans! I'm doubly offended! Where's the ban button!!! grrr....

I just ran through a few google searches.......apparently "Food racism" is actually a thing......who knew??

I am definitely a food racist. Italian food is the "master food" while I hate Korean food. :)

If two potatoes are standing on the corner, you can tell which one is the prostitute because it has a label on it saying Idaho.
