Yeah, I know. But I just didn't like the thought of months worth of receipts and important papers possibly scattered to the wind, in a vehicle with busted out windows. But yeah, I did break down a little when I saw the truck. If one didn't know anything about the crash, and just saw the vehicles, you wouldn't really believe anyone survived. Especially the other car. Ironically, my little plastic receipt box survived, but when the impound guy helped me pry the back door open it fell out on the ground and the receipts spilled out all over the ground. :2mad:
Plus, in this day and age you have to get rolling with these things immediately if you want to minimize your chances of getting screwed. Interviewing attorneys, writing an account of the incident, getting a police report, and on and on. No rest for the weary.
It's amazing what a mess it makes in a work truck when it rolls over a couple of times.
Yeah, I know you needed your stuff. Did you at least bring someone with you for moral support?
