Will we have to dig up the Confederate soldiers buried in Arlington National Cemetery

Re: Will we have to dig up the Confederate soldiers buried in Arlington National Ceme

They fought in an army under a flag other than that of the United States... so uhhh yeah that's literally treason.

Then why have we honored them at Arlington Cemetery? Our world is not black-and-white and neither is our country's history.

Why not? Dig the traitors up and throw the remains in the Potomoc.

That's right, you live in your white nationalist paradise. I forgot.

2. the US Government and US law disagrees with you.

Depends on the timeline, I guess... Pretty sure they weren't considered Americans at the time when what got them into Arlington happened. I'm just respecting their wishes, why can 't you do the same? Ever stop and wonder what a bunch of confederate soldiers would think about being buried for the rest of time surrounded by a bunch of Yanks, and to add insult to injury people like you start calling them Americans?? And you say I'm the insensitive one!!

You'll have to ask the people who chose to do that. Treason means what it means. If they'd flown a Mexican flag instead, would we be having this discussion?

REad up on it, see who owned the land and other interesting things that will deliver you from ignorance.

Gave it a scan, but it doesn't address my concerns on the feelings of confederate ghosts being forced to adopt an American identity while being forced to eternal imprisonment surrounded by the enemy. Perhaps you have another link? That is the particular ignorance I'm hoping to be delivered from today.

The way I understand it, Arlington was Robert E. Lee's plantation, by turning it into a cemetery, neither he nor any of his family
ever claim the land.
There is a long and sorted story about how the Lee family lost the land.

That too!

A fine example of inclusiveness. And here I was just sordiding out my laundry. Talk about timely. I think I'm inspired enough to wash the whites with the colors so as not to be a bigot.
