I've noticed of late that it seems more posters are financial supporters of DP. Even from our most rabid nutjobs, of which some would say I'm one. :lol: So I'm wondering if my reasoning is the same motivation as others.

I donate because it's the cheapest form of brain entertainment I know of, and I understand it costs money to operate it.

You?

At this current Present Moment of Awareness, it's the tremendous benefit I get from PMs with multiple Mods and DMs ...

It's here for me 24/7/365 with interesting people and many surprising viewpoints.

I appreciate the costs involved and contribute to help maintain this little slice of Internet paradise :)

I donate because I spend a lot of time here and I appreciate not being bombarded by ads. Use of DP for me is mostly medicinal. If I get all the arguing out of my system with random people on the internet I don't have to debate with friends and family.

Because for me, it's the greatest forum on all the interwebs.

Personal responsibility.

Because unlike moochers and takers, I understand that running DP isn't free, and someone has to pay for it.

Because I have been on forums for nearly 20 years, this is the best one I have run across, and money was needed.

Justice demands the quality be rewarded, and I want it to be here so I can be here.

I do it for the perks.

Gina lets me wear her shoes, Serenity gives me great massages and Captain Courtesy rolls his balls up my alley.
Win-win as far as I'm concerned.

Bingo, and Ditto. It's a business for the people who provide the site. If I use the service, I support the effort. That's how it should work.

As to posters, some are givers, and some are takers.

I have not donated to this site as of yet but plan on doing so. I appriciate the product and think its worth giving money to in order to keep it worthwhile for the owner to keep it going.

I donate to DP because I believe one should leave things in as good or better condition as one finds them.

The motto of our great natural resources; pack in pack out; take only pictures and leave only footprints; and as you said, leave it better than you found it;

Back to yard work and garage sale ;;

I use their PayPal system, use the credit card, and get the cool bar. Never had any trouble. RedAkston lives to talk with folks re: donations when you use 'contact us' ...

I actually meant likes to talk, not lives to talk; yet 'lives' to enjoy working is a wonderful thing ...
