Oberlin College sushi ‘disrespectful’ to Japanese

Silly. When it comes to food I say appropriate away. Though I must admit, food is one of the areas in which I am, maybe not racist, but definitely prejudiced. I am more likely to try a Mexican restaurant run by Mexicans or a Chinese restaurant run by Chinese. Back when I would eat Barbecue if I walked into a Barbecue joint I would feel a little relieved when I saw a big black man back there cooking away. And even more telling than the demographic of the staff is the demographic of the customers.

Like I said, I know it is prejudiced. But in this case I don't think I care. :)

LOL, like, OMG, Becky, like, the sushi here, is, like, really bad.

Yes, it's a couple years old. No less interesting, though.

So a kid complains that it is not authentic Vietnamese cuisine just because it is written like it is?

I think it sounds funny...

Banh Mi Sandwich...

Why would anyone expect any food in a college cafeteria to be "authentic"?

It seems that that particular Bahn Mi item was so far off that it shouldn't have been called that, but... calling it cultural appropriation is absurd.

Oberlin College is 'disrespectful' to people with common sense.
