How often do you drop the f-bomb?

Are you a frequent f-bomber? Only when you're mad? Never at all?

Not very often.
Bad habits are hard to break, and can often times make their presence known at the worst possible times.

No kidding.
I was a laborer on construction sites in HS/college. The word "f******" was used in every other sentence.
I caught myself using the word while speaking to my mom a few times.
Not a huge issue, but a little embarrassing.
As you said, bad habits are hard to break.

Despite stereotypes suggesting politeness, we actually swear a LOT up here. I never realized how much until I started working for a company that required me to travel to the states and folks were looking at me like I had three heads... haha

****ing plenty.

If ever i need a good example of people blindly following convention, the f word will always do.

I seriously ask, why is it offensive? Is it not really just another adjective. A way of putting emphasis on something.

I do understand that the word can be used aggressively such as telling someone to f off. Or it can be used simply to emphasise a point. How is WTF any more rude than, "i don't understand."

Over use of the word is annoying at best but that would be the same for any words that gets repeated often.

Some people for a reason i find hard to fathom resent the word being used at all. For them it means something bad but no one has ever explained what that bad is or why it is bad, it just is.

For me it is just a way of emphasising a point as in not only is it a good way of emphasising point, it's a ****ing good way.

That it is shocking is part of its allure.

But swearing is like cooking with Habneros. A little bit spices up the conversation but it is easy to use too much.

Depends who's present, but face it, the f bomb and the s bomb are 2 of the most useful words in the English language.

I use it like a ****ing comma...

I use it often enough, but I try to not do it gratuitously. But it ****in' is a great, very useful word.

All the time. It's just a word. I find people who get offended over words to be pretty pathetic. What difference does it make?

The same could be said for any word. It is anoying when over used or used incorrectly.
But that still does not answer my question of why do people call it a swear word? Why is it a rude word?

Except for the fact that it would probably be a cost to who ever runs this site. Why is the word banned? What is the morality here?

I am of the generation that you didn't use words like that in civil society or even among your friends so in most cases I am uncomfortable with it. I can't say I've never ever said it though. And does thinking it count? Or enjoying "My Cousin Vinny?"

Waaay too much. I'm capable of switching it off, but I've always been of the opinion that relying too much on expletives and intensifiers is linguistically lazy. I should probably cut back.
