NETFLIX - Marvel Shows

Iron Fist, to me, was the worst of the the Netflix Marvel bunch thus far imho. The action had me massively disappointed; the fact that the fight scenes and martial arts in Daredevil was far superior to that of a character who's whole purpose is to be essentially THE martial artist was disappointing. Finn just couldn't handle the necessary chops for the fighting in the show.

Agents of Shield has grown to be very good. The first season, up until the point where Winter Soldier came out in theaters, was rather bad. However, from that point forward it was on a solidly upward trajectory.

Arrow season 1 and 2 were GREAT, and this past season was very good as well. Season 3 was "eh" and season 4 was some of the worst shlock I've had to trudge through for a TV show ever. Just so bad.

Flash is solid to good at any given point. It's beginning to get a little repetitive in style, and this later half of the past season was a bit too dark for a show that does best when it's light hearted. But it's a solid watch.

I feel like the Marvel Netflix shows are better shows, but the DC ones are easier ones to enjoy at times. A lot more light in nature, everything isn't quite so serious, and they're made to be easier to pick up and just watch one and be done where as the Marvel ones just feel made to be binged. Agents of Shield is much more in line with the DC shows.

1.) Ugh really? man thats kinda disappointing . . . You make a good point though I WOULD expect it to be better than DD simply because of that fact. Like I said Im only two episodes in though.
2.) they havent appealed to me yet but it is on the list
3.) how would you rank arrow vs Jessica Jones, Dare devil 1 and 2 and Luke Cage?
4.) the character flash has NEVER really appealed to me but im still gonna give it a go, it will have to be extra good to win me out though
5.) thanks for the info Z!

Ok so im 8 episodes in and I want to further comment on this.

I have to fully agree that some of the fight sequencing is lacking. I have seen two errors already in poor editing during the fighting. (broken spear then not broken spear and cage fight where the guy has a hold of Colleen and magically he doesn't)

Anyway so far I still really like it and im currently keeping my rating for it but that could change. I think where Daredevil excels in fight scenes is the costume of course. It allows them to not use the real actor much easier. It seems maybe Finn Jones maybe cant play fight that well in the style they need him too. They use a stunt guy alot and its obvious. That with poor editing and choreography you are 100% right Z, it is lacking. Hopefully they fix for season 2 or in defenders when he is fighting etc.

They were varying levels of good. I would rank them Jessica Jones > Daredevil > Iron Fist > Luke Cage.

Luke Cage was just boring and they killed off the decent villain halfway through and replaced him with a crappy generic one.

I'm looking forward to The Defenders in a few weeks though.

Ok just finished Iron Fist, Id liked it

I do agree with Z about the fighting, it needs improved but overall I dug it so here is my official ranking of what I have seen.

Luke Cage
Iron Fist
Jessica Jones/Daredevil 1
Dare Devil 2

All good though and I recommend them all. Im actually pleased with Iron Fist, while I dont read comic books and I cant judge from that irrespective I honestly didnt think I would like it. So for it to win me over it had to be good.
