Texas Mother Accused of Leaving 2 Children to Die in Hot Car to Teach a '''Lesson''' - NBC News

A Texas mother faces first-degree felony charges in the deaths of her 2-year-old daughter and 1-year-old son after police say she locked them inside a sweltering car last month to teach them a lesson.
Cynthia Marie Randolph, 24, was arrested Friday on two counts of causing injury to a child. Authorities later determined that the children died from extreme heat exposure.
The incident happened on May 26, when Randolph’s 2-year-old daughter, Juliet, and 1-year-old son, Cavanaugh, were found dead in a locked car in the driveway of her home outside of Fort Worth, police said.

This bitch needs to be locked in a metal box for 24 hours. If she survives, lock her ass in jail. WTF is wrong with people? The nightly news reported this and recent "accidental" situations where kids are left in the car while the parent(s) go in shopping, to the bar for a drink, etc. Are people that stupid?? With all the coverage these incidents get, how can they possibly think it will be ok?! Makes me sick to my stomach!

Well, at least she didn't have an abortion.

She'd be in no danger in a psych ward. I've been there, and I lived to tell the tale.

Then I hope she doesn't end up there. She deserves to be in danger.

The steps she took to cover it up make it even worse.

It is bad enough to leave your kids in a hot car after so many stories of kids dying that way. But upon finding them dead how could your primary impulse be self preservation??? If I did something that resulted in my children dying there would be nobody on the planet who hated me more than myself. If arrested I wouldn't plead or anything. I would accept my punishment without a fight. Actually, it probably wouldn't get to that point. If I saw my kids were dead due to my own gross carelessness, the next thing I would likely do is get my gun and put myself down.

The 2-year old's "crime"? Not getting out of the car when told. So mom went back into the house, "thinking" that the toddler could get herself and her baby brother out of the car when she was ready. And then she smoked some weed and took a long, lovely nap. https://www.dallasnews.com/news/par...-said-left-kids-hot-car-teach-daughter-lesson

which clearly outlines the difference between balanced, loving and caring vs. unbalanced, desperate and unconcerned

This kind of trollbait only serves to screw up threads... and it is outrageous that you would use a tragedy like this to say something stupid like you did. No one need respond to the post. He's thread banned.

The two year old was probably letting her know that she did not want to go into a house where mama was going to smoke that stinky stuff again and fall asleep. Some people really should not be parents. This is one of them.

Even if your child's death was truly an accident for which you weren't to blame, you would suffer deeply, and it would take a very long time to work through what I call the "If only..." and "What if?" games that can drive you to the brink or over it.

Here' we're talking about a 24-year old whose initial lie is very revealing to me. At first, she claimed to have been folding laundry and watching TV while her kids played on the enclosed porch, where she could see them at all times but somehow didn't for 20-30 minutes. (She also lied at first about how the kids had "taken off.") They were just "gone," and she described how she searched for them for 30-40 minutes. Somehow, Cynthia Marie Randolph thought this was a plausible scenario. It's not.

OMG, this is another Texas case of two young girls dying in a vehicle. I thought it was the San Antonio case where the 19 year old mother left her kids of the same age and sex in an SUV to attend a party. smh
