Omg. Is that really true?
It is true. The saving grace is once the wheels hit the ground the car stops rolling if you have the parking brake on. One friend jacked the car up on hill when the road was icy and it slid back over him. Luckily a lot of the old cars were high and no one I knew got seriously hurt. Most only were pinned or bruised from the falling car hitting them. Those old bumper jacks were very dangerous if you did not know what you were doing. I had them kick out on me but I was ready for it and was not hurt. I think everyone back when had a bad experience with them. I don't miss them at all. I love AAA. Tow me to where I bought the tires and usually they fix the flat for free.
