Hannity's outrage that Nancy Pelosi said she want's Trump to go to prison is absolutely hysterical. Apparently, the “Lock Her Up!” chanting at every Trump rally never happened. Besides encouraging calls for Clinton to be jailed, Trump has also accused Democratic lawmakers of “treason” over their border security policies and repeatedly leveled that charge against FBI officials over the Russia investigation.
Hannity, meanwhile, has largely led the charge in calling for Clinton to be investigated and face potential prison time. Two-and-a-half years after the 2016 election, the Fox host was still claiming the former Secretary of State’s “email server is a real threat to our safety and security.”
Sean Hannity is a buffoon, and I hope that one day he goes the way of the other idiots that Fox let go like Bill O'Reilly, Eric Bolling, Bob Beckel, Roger Ailes and who can forget Kimberly Guilfoyle who got canned because she was showing dick pictures to cast-mates, no doubt it was Donny Jr's dick since they were already dating after she broke up his marriage.
Hannity: ‘Based on no actual crimes, she wants a political opponent locked up in prison. Umm, that happens in banana republics. Beyond despicable behavior.’
Hannity Says It’s ‘Despicable’ to Call for Political Opponents to Be ‘Locked Up’
When it comes to the big three cable news networks, all three have taken sides in our political battles. One could say CNN and MSNBC have become the propaganda wing of the DNC, FoxNews for the RNC and Trump. That probably is to be expected. All three are corporate owned, they're in the news business to make money. So they have to provide the news in a way, slant, bias, etc. that keeps their viewers happy and coming back. Keep your present audience and hope to add more. The more viewership, the more you can charge for commercials, the more money each corporation makes.
My advise, don't believe any of the three. At least take their news with a grain of salt. All three are bias as all get out and all three are no more than propaganda wings of their respective political parties. All three put making money above reporting the news in an accurate, full and fair manner. One should expect nothing less. Only 41% of all Americans place any trust in the media to report the news in a fair, full and accurate manner. Only 36% of all independents, those not affiliated with any political party, the less to non-partisan, swing voters if you will, trust the media to report the news in an unbiased manner.
Americans' Trust in Mass Media Edges Down to 41%
since most of the mass media slants towards the democrats, the Democrats have the highest trust in the media at 69%, the Republicans the least trust, 15%. But the most important number is independents at 36%.
Great post and I must say sadly I agree with you damn shame we can't just get the facts.
The News has become unwatchable it's just pure entertainment.
Fox news has figure out what sales lies...
Just think back when CNN started!
A 24 hour news Network who's going what that crap? Nerds at 1st that's who political party and the news was boring as it should be...
But they reported the facts. Now the news Networks reports on what the other news Network says. It's a sick sad world. I don't think we survive this. Merry Christmas.
Merry Christmas back at you. I think the media deserves a lot of the credit or the blame for the divisiveness, the polarization and ultra high partisanship that reigns in this present era. Now the media is reporting the news in a way it knows the viewership wants it, for each viewer to turn in and say yeah, exactly as I believe. It helps reinforce each viewer's political view point. We're the good guys, the other side is nothing more than evil scumbags that needs to be destroyed.
I gave up on cable news a long time ago. You're right about CNN when it first started. But CNN, like the other cable news networks found out just reporting on the days news events, the happenings couldn't even come close to filling their 24 hour news requirement. Then political talk shows began to emerge and dominate all three. Crossfire with Tom Braden and Pat Buchanan was one of my favorites back in the 1980's. One from the left, the other the right, a debate in a friendly, civil manner. Now, how low has CNN fallen, now there is no opposing view ever presented than the one they now advocate. Same for the other two.
I still watch them all because I pay for cable and have a dvr but yes I do agree with you. Local news is entertainment too after the 1st 5 mins or so of someone being shot, killed, raped, kidnapped ECT... It's really a sick sad world.
