I don't know about the others who lurk here, but I enjoy 'surfing' the threads. I don't always find the need to join in the 'discussion.' I 'thumb' through some of the topics and open some that interest me. Some posters here about must get paid by the word. My eyes glaze over when I open a 'tome' and not only could the OP not fit his thoughts in one post, but he/she takes subsequent posts to complete the thought. When someone sends a long text, I tease them about the "Gettysburg Address", Lincoln's address is a foot note to some posts here. Anyhow that's my rant.

It's even worse when that tome is directed at you, and you're expected to respond to each and every line of it. There are far better ways to spend my time.

I agree...we should have these forums organized into different difficulty settings... lolz

Phat, You remind me of the poor lieutenant whose platoon is about to be overrun and has to call the artillery down on his own position.

I hate that. Often I would like to respond to a portion of a post, but don't wish to respond to (or like) the entire post.

If you have multiple thoughts on the subject, wouldn't it be better to have multiple posts?

I hope if you were reading intel briefings or EOs, you could get through them.

If your belief on a subject fits on a bumper sticker, it's probably wrong.

Between "bumper stickers" and War and Peace there has to be a happy medium. Thanks for your insight!
