Folks,

With AT&T, Comcast and those folks are consumers under a contract of some kind? And if you want to break the contract why is the consumer charged hundreds of dollars? Why right to they have to force a consumer to be on contract?

If you sign a contract with one of them and you break it, the penalty is usually an early termination fee. You agreed to it when you signed the contract. It sucks that they can do it, but its pretty standard in the industry.

Yep, its in the contract.

It would seem some consumer rights group could force the bastards to stop screwing the customer.
