What do Betsy Devos, Steve Mnuchin, Wilbur Ross, Carl Icahn, Stephen Schwarzman, Stephen Feinberg, Steven Roth, Richard LeFrak and Robert Woods Johnson IV have in common with Donald J. Trump?

Yep, they all have millions and millions of dollars at their personal disposal. Trump considers most if not all of these people his peer group. I don't begrudge a single one of them for their riches. I begrudge them for lack of clarity in their motives to accept a service position within the Trump Administration.

IMO, without real talent, Trump would not have succeeded at becoming POTUS. Confidence and competence provide a much higher probability of success in most endeavors than does luck. I mainly take issue with Trump because I perceive him as unprincipled, overtly ambitious and narcissistic. He has absolutely no track record of making the Common Welfare of Americans anywhere close to a top priority.

Any comments?

A better title for this thread "Trump uses the talents of achievers who actually created jobs and unlike Clinton/Obama did not need tax payer funded public office to become wealthy".

But they did not build that. ;)

Pro-tip: inheriting wealth has nothing to do with 'needing tax payer funded public office'.

You should look into that.

Clearly what we need are unemployed homeless people without a penny to their names working in government.

Just as when we went with the unknown Obama our experience has before this been so bad and our expectations are so low that all one needs to do to get the job is to say the right words. We will take the leap of faith. Expect this to continue.

What all of them have I expect is a desire to give back to America.

Working for us in DC is to them kinda like doing charity work.

Everyone knew aboit trump and his cv. 75 percent of voters didn’t care or wanted him in this knowledge. He is your President now. Don't complain. You should have done more before the election to stop him, if you didn’t want him. Now you are all sour grapes.

There is nothing wrong with choosing successful people.
Nor is the purpose of a government to support the general welfare of individuals.

Ask yourself why this mega-wealthy individual considered it imperative to conceal his tax returns and assiduously avoid creating a true blind trust.

No effort Trump engaged in would have been sufficient when it comes to "blind trusts. And his tax returns are irrelevant to policy.

Real Protip: Do research some place becides leftist propaganda sites. Trumps Dad died in 2002 by then Cheeto Jesus was already independently worth more than his father ever was.

There is little doubt family money helped Trump get started. But there is even less doubt Trump is a business genius who would have been successful if he had come from nothing.

Trump made his money by producing goods and services people want. At the same time he employed tens of thousands of people.

Clinton/Obama never produced anything and employed almost no one.

Those devoid of intellect and prone to quickly anger often resort to tasteless sarcasm.

Even realer pro-tip: I wasn't talking about Trump, per se, but rather people like Betsey Devos; but he did actually start out with inherited wealth.

Thanks, as always, for proving my point.

Ah yes! Matthew Heimbach and Nathan Damigo have come out of the shadows as young adult leaders of an agenda to advance hate.

By now your Superiors have very likely recognized your intelligence and awarded you accordingly.

Repeatedly smashing a chainsaw motor with a large rubber mallet absolutely decreases the usefulness and lifespan of the chainsaw. Keep this in mind when you take blows to your head during your MMA training.

I smiled at your positive spin. It reminds me of the Andy Grammer song - KEEP YOUR HEAD UP

I promise you I did what I could before the General Election. In spite of my best efforts, Trump still took Florida. In the interest of our country and the world at large, I and others continue to exercise our right to oppose him.

For the first time since Obama's 2008 campaign, national politics has become interesting and fun again! Viva Trump! May his tenure as POTUS end sooner than later!

Yeah, I have a comment.

Thank god Hillary didn't get the electorates!

You mock one clown while dismissing the actions of others clowns. Can you name 3 things that Hillary did to make American lives better? Or maybe Bernie Sanders who said the Veterans Administration was OK?

Trippy stuff.

For me, when it came to the General Election, Hillary became my default candidate by virtue of our limited choices. She lost. At this point, I definitely do not want her as POTUS.
A few issues important to me -
I support Roe v. Wade, overturning Citizens United, Environmental protection/Climate change objectivity, my current healthcare plan, progressive taxation, maintaining our worldwide military superiority, policies that expand the middle class, acumen, competence and diplomacy in our foreign policy, LGBT movement, and protection from government intrusion into our personal lives.

I want a POTUS dedicated to increasing the quality of life for as many Americans as possible and the world at large. At best, Trump serves as a catalyst for positive change.

Well said, and I certainly agree with most all of it. But you sound more like a old school common sense type democrat to me.

Ah... ye Ole Salt... we've hurled insults at each other before, but know this, I can feel through your coarse exterior and sense all that goodness seepin' outta ya. I got Love for ya! May our Best Times lie ahead! Peace to you and yours.
