Trump finds comfort by adding millionaires and billionaires to his administration

I promise you I did what I could before the General Election. In spite of my best efforts, Trump still took Florida. In the interest of our country and the world at large, I and others continue to exercise our right to oppose him.

For the first time since Obama's 2008 campaign, national politics has become interesting and fun again! Viva Trump! May his tenure as POTUS end sooner than later!

It is good to hear you did, what you could. Like Clinton, it wasn't enough or correctly undertaken. But it is also true that the level of disgust with arrogant liberal overshoot was a strong force against y'all. Nonetheless, you and all elected him.

Your short analysis resulted in a few moments of thoughtful reflection. To the winners go the spoils. Team Trump, with significantly less financial support than Hillary's team, implemented a superior strategy to pull off their stunning victory. My heartfelt congratulations to all who supported Team Trump!

I hope to learn something from that nugget of truth expression "... disgust with arrogant liberal overshoot..". I hear you ... and I have taken it to heart.

In my neighborhood growing up, we played King of the Mountain. We always found a way to make sure no one kid reigned King for very long.

As a youth league coach, I had ample failures and successes. When we'd lose, I'd tell the kids the opportunity for success lies in the next game! Soldier on! May our Best Times lie ahead!

What do Betsy Devos, Steve Mnuchin, Wilbur Ross, Carl Icahn, Stephen Schwarzman, Stephen Feinberg, Steven Roth, Richard LeFrak and Robert Woods Johnson IV have in common with Donald J. Trump?

Yep, they all have millions and millions of dollars at their personal disposal. Trump considers most if not all of these people his peer group. I don't begrudge a single one of them for their riches. I begrudge them for lack of clarity in their motives to accept a service position within the Trump Administration.

IMO, without real talent, Trump would not have succeeded at becoming POTUS. Confidence and competence provide a much higher probability of success in most endeavors than does luck. I mainly take issue with Trump because I perceive him as unprincipled, overtly ambitious and narcissistic. He has absolutely no track record of making the Common Welfare of Americans anywhere close to a top priority.

Any comments?

You have to have a lot of money to run for office. Any office these days. So yeah, until it doesn't cost millions to run a campaign, you'll continue to have people with a lot of money riding the train.

Even realer pro-tip: I wasn't talking about Trump, per se, but rather people like Betsey Devos; but he did actually start out with inherited wealth.

Thanks, as always, for proving my point.

Well good for Betsey, but that doesn't put her down to the level of Clinton and Obama who without taxpayer funded public office would be riding Grayhound not private jets. One of the things that used to really anger people about Obama's lavish vacations was they were things that little weasel could never earn on his own.

I.Q. Test Question - Please take your time and use your Best Efforts to answer the question honestly and accurately. You have three answer choices to choose from. If Obama ranks as a little weasel, then you rank as a _________________ .

Nah, they weren't particularly lavish and no rational adult was bothered by them in the least.
