A good friend of mine has a saying I find marvelously evocative, to explain capitalism and socialism in a nutshell.

Capitalism is the possibility of a Denny's Grand Slam Breakfast with everything.... Socialism is the certainty of plain oatmeal with no syrup.

:D

:lamo funny :).

Someone told me that under capitalism the rich become powerful and under socialism the powerful become rich.

Not as fun as yours but, I think it's kinda true.

Who in the Hell puts syrup on oatmeal?

People from Maple Land.

What do you put on oatmeal?

I used to be a roll of cinnamon, lil brown sugar, vanilla extract, salt and sliced pear kinda guy.

But lately.... peanut butter. My world hasn't changed this much since I installed my bidet.

Yeah well I'm from the south, I know diddly about oatmeal, we eat grits.

Here is another quote, any philosophy that can be put into a nutshell should stay there.
