You can't make this stuff up . . .

looks to me like Don Lemon did his job. he didn't let the "fake news" dodge / talking point slide, and pinned down the guest on it pretty effectively.
Well, I suppose that's one way to look at it.
To others, shutting the guy off and never really letting him speak again while insulting and attacking is just more evidence of CNN's extreme bias and fraud filled efforts.
A professional doing his job would have allowed the guy to make the comment and remained calm, moving on to the next of the 4 guests.
Instead, the idiot blows a gasket and proves what people are saying about CNN.
i assume that you and others in this thread feel the same way about Sean Hannity when he shouts down guests.
The reason I posted this is because the guy was a guest on the show and I found it amusing that their own GUEST thought the story was fake news. Had the host let him finish, I think he was making another kind of point. But he lost his cool and cut the guy off.
What they were talking about was not fake news in and of itself. But their panel was editorializing and opinionating. It was NOT broadcasting a news story. I'm fairly certain that's what the guy meant. Instead of the host flipping, he should have let his invited guest finish his thought.
Very poor host.

Not much of a Hannity fan. Not because I don't like the guy, but I just don't watch his show.
Can't speak for others. I don't like any moderator shouting down a guest.
Of course, there is a bit of grey area there, as many guests on these talk shows have no intent on addressing the questions asked, and are only interested in getting out whatever it is they want to say. In those cases, I think getting in their face a bit might be called for.
i get that. i didn't like Hannity's show even when i was a right winger. i did listen to Limbaugh and Beck, though.
The whole fake news claims from Trump is addressed quite effectively by McCain in this response to "Meet the Press"
I listened to Rush for a number of years, but I haven't listened to him for some time.
I never really listened to Beck. However, I will admit that he inspired me to really dive into the nature of politics and affiliations. Someone talked about all the connections between groups, and I seriously doubted what I learned Beck was saying. So I went on a quest myself.
Everything Beck said was true. I spent hundreds of hours pouring over annual reports, content, actions, etc., etc.. Kind of became an obsession.
Today, I think Beck has lost his mind. But I do tip my hat to him for inspiring me to learn about Maurice Strong, George Soros, the Tides Foundation, etc, etc.., all members working in concert for what I call the Progressive Machine.
People should be very concerned with it's existence and objective.
The host didn't handle it well but I think he had the facts behind him. The guest asserted that the whole story was fake news but the only reason he gave was that the President hadn't broken any laws. Nobody suggested that he had and it certainly wasn't all there is to the topic they were meant to be discussing. The hosts definition of "fake news" was fairly reasonable and doesn't seem to apply. \the guest got his second chance to speak but started off on exactly the same talking point.
I think this is just another example of the term "fake news" being abused to avoid answering any difficult questions.

Yep.
"Explain why this is fake news," and then of course he interrupts and talks over the guest, then lectures him...all the while saying he will give the guest a chance.
Then cuts him off again immediately and ends the interview. Typical CNN "reporting." :coffeepap:
Is Don Lemon a commentator or a newsman?
There is a difference
Many of us recognize that difference....Hannity, Rush, and most of the talk show types are commentators...with lot s of opinions, and very little actual news
On some stations, I think those lines are blurred....
I think that is a lot of the problem.....commentary disguised as news.....
Not good for our populous which is already smitten with false personas all over the networks and cable channels
