Operation puppy pick up

This is Ollie's cat-watch window. They tease the crap out of him by loitering by that window.

Have to love that face! Ollie will be a great member of the family for many years.
Had a Basset for years as a kid. Loved that dog!

This is it. Operation puppy pick up is in effect. I've driven four hours down to his location and we get him tomorrow morning. Ollie.

I'm very envious - he's beautiful, and already looks like a wise old soul with a bit of mischief mixed in.

My last dog passed away about 2 years ago and I've struggled with the decision to get another, but pictures like yours twist at a guy's animal loving heart. Thanks for sharing.

Sure thing. He was born on Christmas so he's almost a year old now and full grown. He also lost so much of that black fur. It's turned brown red for the most part.

He's doing a perfect rendition of what is affectionately known as "Flat Basset"!

He loves doing the Flat Basset at home because we have radiant heating and those tiles are nice and warm.

heyyyyy now... You are the one who told me I needed to do it.

Good luck. Socialize often :). Our pups go with us everywhere. It really makes a difference in their behavior. Plus who wouldn’t wanna see that handsome pup up close?

Guy I worked with had one not too long ago and his description of bassets is that they are a live nonstop disney show.

My little bastard split my nose the other day. He's highly excitable and when we get home he's very jumpy. I got down to his level to pet him and he lunged at my face and his front teeth hit the bridge of my nose and opened it up. Didn't bite... just slammed his teeth on my bridge.

He get's crazy excited every time he get in the car or when he sees me pick up his leash.

That is when you know it is done right lol. I can’t hang my keys on the key ring anymore because the leashes are there and sometimes I bump them. I wake my girlfriend up because the dogs come bolting out of the bedroom at 630 in the morning lol

when I have to leave the house I go to the door to the garage, he's trying to push me out of the way so he can run to the car. It's hard pushing him out of the door's way so only I can get into the garage.

Ollie during the superbowl...

My Lily is the same way. She's a powerhouse when she hears the word "go." She loves going outside, checking the mail, bringing in the trashcans, going for rides. She's also my homework buddy. She comes into the office every time I come here to do homework. She's more of a hinderance than a help, because mostly she just lies there and snores and farts while I try to concentrate.

Too cute. What a smile. My wife's mother bred English bulls a couple of times.
