i have always thought that the ONLY reason the Left cares so deeply for illegals is because they consider them to be an important part of their voter base.

Do you think Maria voted Republican?

Maria Ortega, 37, was found guilty Wednesday on two counts of illegal voting after she falsely claimed to be a United States citizen and voted at least five times between 2012 and 2014.A jury sentenced her Thursday to eight years in prison and a $5,000 fine.
'WE'RE GOING TO SEE MORE': SANCTUARY CITIES CAVE IN FACE OF TRUMP'S FUNDING THREATS
The Dallas News reported Ortega voted in the November 2012 election and May 2014 GOP primary runoff in Dallas County.
According to Fox 4 News, Ortega’s identity came into question after she tried to register to vote twice in Tarrant County. Both applications were denied.
She had voted in five elections in Dallas before her registration was canceled in April 2015.
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton – for whom Ortega voted in 2014 – assisted in the prosecution.
“This case shows how serious Texas is about keeping its elections secure, and the outcome sends a message that violators of the state’s election law will be prosecuted to the fullest,” he said.
DEPORTED WOMAN BACK IN MEXICO COMPLAINS: I FELT LIKE 'CHAPO' GUZMAN
According to the New York Times, Ortega was born in Monterrey, Mexico and brought to the U.S. by her mother as an infant. More than a decade later, her mother was deported and Ortega became a permanent resident.
In her defense, Ortega testified that she didn’t understand the differences between the rights granted to citizens and the rights granted to legal residents.
“My mom just used us to get stamps. She never gave us love or guidance. She got deported,” she said, according to Fox 4. "All my life since I worked, I always on my knowledge thought I was a U.S. citizen because I never knew the difference of U.S. citizen and U.S. resident. And the point is if I knew, everything would've been the correct way."

The article says she voted for Texas Atty Gen Ken Paxton in 2014. He is a Republican. She was certainly old enough to understand the difference between U.S. Resident and U.S. Citizen. She was denied voting privileges twice. Her mother was deported and her birth certificate states born in Mexico. How many more clues did she need?

I read this morning that prior to Trump being inaugurated there were 960,000 with deportation orders and were not even in custody.

According to an NEB report I read. the official count of "voter fraud" in this country was in the low hundreds out of how many votes. The NEB is not responsible for saying who they person was intending on voting on.

In Wisconsin we had 8 reported cases and ALL were voting republican. Remember Wisc voted for duck

IF your going to come back with the millions claimed by duck in Florida I think there is a pretty common sense answer. Why did no one see them? Answer they were not there. I doubt that 8 million people showing up and the polls with no evidence that they had the right to be there would have gotten noticed.

You have always thought something profoundly stupid.

What's your problem? You know it's true.

No, it's profoundly stupid.

Pretend I said "Maggie, you only criticize illegals because you're racist!"

That would be wrong in, what, eight different ways? Stupid thing to say, maybe?

The thing you're saying is profoundly stupid, in like eight different ways. But you're one of them now, brainwashed into thinking there's this wave of millions of illegal immigrants voting Democrat.

The idea that illegals did not vote in any sizeable number in the election is simply absurd. Particularly in states which do not enforce any kind of Voter ID laws, it's virtually a no risk activity for a non-citizen to saunter into a polling station, and cast a ballot that would ammenable to their interests.

Why on Earth wouldn't they take advantage of that?

They take advantage of basically every other (unearned) benefit we have to give around here.

Perhaps "millions" of illegal immigrants aren't voting.

That being said, millions of people (who overwhelmingly vote left) are being imported and vote for bigger government. The left advocates so strongly for immigration but solemn mention immigrants from Europe or Eastern/Northern Asia. Reason being is that people from these areas generally have higher IQ and are more likely to be more financially stable and vote right, or at the very least, for smaller government.

That's because you think a lot of incredibly stupid things.

"Northern Asia" is Russia.

Prove that immigrants with higher IQ vote for "smaller government."

HINT: Voting for Republicans is not and has never been voting for "smaller government."

No. It is NOT true.

The Democratic machine is constantly looking for their latest greatest base. The machine will be delighted to fight for illegals to receive amnesty knowing that their support to GET them citizenship will make them Democrats for life. It's hardly rocket science. And has nothing to do with the best interests of the people of the United States of America.

"Ladies! Look how horrible Republicans treat you! EQUAL PAY FOR EQUAL WORK!" (As if Repubs are solely responsible for pay inequities.) "Blacks! Look how horrible Republicans treat you! VOTE FOR US. WE'RE YOUR ONLY HOPE!" (As if their OWN mayors aren't watching their children get shot jumping rope.) "Illegal Immigrants! Look how horrible Republicans treat you!" (As if Republicans are related to Nostradamus and want them drawn and quartered right after they Nazi-like ask for their papers in the street.)

Democrats can only succeed by creating divisiveness. They don't have much else.

The one thing I am not, gentlemen, is stupid. The fact that we profoundly disagree does not reflect on the IQs of any of us. I don't call you stupid -- or your opinions stupid -- because I don't think you or they are. We simply disagree.

I've found that most of those people who resort to calling others stupid were called stupid by their parents. I'm sorry for you both. To my knowledge, we don't have one stupid person on this website. I could be wrong.

I didn't call you stupid. I called what you said stupid. You're repeating the Breitbart version of Democrats. When confronted on such foolish statements, now you're trying to change the subject to black people, women, or even my parents. (and vomiting out the Breitbart version of that too) Anything except actually analyzing your own statements.

Maggie, illegal immigrants do not vote in any substantive numbers. They're not a useful voting demographic for anybody.

You're not stupid, Maggie. We've both been on this forum a while. You didn't get dumber, but you've gone down a path driven by right-wing propaganda that has you spun all out of whack. You weren't always like this.

If you think "vote for us because Republicans are racist" is really the Democratic party platform, then I feel sorry for you. Steve Bannon has done his job.

To my knowledge, we don't have one stupid person on this website.

Ok, now, that's just too much. This place is more than half full of stupid. Hell, there's a good percentage that's flat-out brain dead.

I don't even know Steve Bannon.

As to illegals voting in any great numbers? I doubt they do. I think you're probably right. But there is no doubt in my mind that the Democratic machine considers immigrants an important demographic in their voting base. And is anxious for an easy path to citizenship for illegals because it will increase their base. And supports NOT enforcing our laws against illegals because it knows the legal immigrants will flock to their agenda at the polls. Foreigners first is the Democratic meme, most assuredly those coming in through our southern borders.

Anywhere Democrats can set a group of people against Republicans, you will find them inciting them with lies.

I don't even know Steve Bannon.
He played a key role in electing our new president and now holds a very high-level position in his administration. The fact that you don't know him just further proves my point: you've degenerated into this low-information, alternative facts mindset. You're believing a portrayal of the soundbites you've been fed.

If I asked Michael Moore what conservatives believe, would it be accurate?

Has it occurred to you that maybe the right-wing media's version of liberal beliefs might be wrong?

Maybe, just maybe, us liberals realize that this is a nation of immigrants, and our diversity has made us stronger, not weaker. Maybe we just believe the words on the statue of liberty. Maybe we're just good christians who really want to help people make a better life for themselves. Maybe we believe strong social safety nets benefit the nation.

But as long as you believe "THOSE LIBRULS ARE STEALIN MY ELECTIONS," you'll never be capable of real discussion of the issues.

Oh, stop it. First you carefully walk the line calling me stupid. Now you tell me alive degenerated into a low information mind set. Does that work with your friends? If it does, they suffer from...low information mindsets.

Yeah, that last sentence? That's the equivalent of telling me I'm racist when I try to discuss the problems of the inner city. I never said liberals are stealing our elections. If THAT were true, if THAT were possible, Hillary Clinton would be in the White House.

The leader of the California Senate, Keven de Leon, admitted last week that half his family is deportable, given they are all illegal. He went further by admitting nearly every illegal alien used forged documents in order to survive in this country.

Given illegal aliens have been confirmed to be using stolen identities on an almost universal basis, how can anyone claim they aren't also voting?

Unless a red flag is thrown for some reason, there would be no way to tell.

Should anyone expect a group of people who would be considered to be on a life long crime spree would suddenly establish a moral high ground on voting?

In our system, people win elections and people lose elections.

The winners don't conduct investigations because they won. The losers can't conduct investigations because they lost.

Trump is blazing a new trail. Again.

Well, what you say certainly explains why we only need English on voting documents.

Ohm, wait, I'm wrong. You needn't be a resident long enough to understand English in order to vote.

That is where you aren't thinking. Democrats know that illegal immigrants don't vote. A case might be made that the LEGAL immigrants are an important part of the democratic base, and part of the reason is the attitudes they get from Republicans due to the fact that they do not appear to be White Anglo-Saxon protestant, and are viewed at with the attitude they are here illegally.

As for Steve Bannon, you don't have to know him at all to be effected by him. All you have to do is read his web sites for 'news', or listen to people who do.

According to the latest estimates, at least 800,000 illegals voted in the last election.

http://www.westernjournalism.com/study-ballots-from-noncitizens-added-more-than-800000-to-clintons-popular-vote-margin/

I'm really not sure how you people can believe otherwise, to be honest. There are millions of these vagrants in California alone, and they clearly don't have much respect for our laws, otherwise they wouldn't be here to begin with.

What on Earth is stopping them from voting in our elections as well? The "honor system?"

That "study" was pretty widely discredited.
