I often post about my observations of peoples behavior, they never fail to amaze me with both good deeds and jerk-ness.

I live in a semi detached condo and I’m also a dog owner, behind my condo is a small yard section followed by a hiking path and then wooded area. When the snow gets to deep for my elderly dog to navigate I shovel a small loop and area for her to do her #2 business in. These are spots and areas she uses regardless of season or snow depth. This is a pretty secluded area, they don’t plow the path so if any folks are back there they are trekking thru the snow.
As soon as yesterdays snow storm fizzled out after dumping over a foot of snow I went to work on the loop and #2 area. I purposefully shovel the snow in such a way to discourage others from using it, meaning I make snow barriers. It’s important to note just about all the properties have this small yard area off there patios.
It wasn’t one hour after I completed this dog area did the masses show up, It was like I sent out an email inviting all to bring your dog here, I shoveled. At last count, eight people had brought there dogs into this area and I awoke to two piles of presents this morning to clean up. I watched one of these dog owners in action, the women was wearing flannel jammies her husbands snow boots and a very unflattering parka. She wasn’t walking her dog on the hiking trail and the dog just happened to discover this area, she carried her toy breed to this area and had to step over a snow mound to place the dog onto this shoveled area. Now, being a condo, there really isn’t anything I can do about this other than give these people the evil eye while they do it. So that’s my plan today, I have a full day in my home office and intend to go outside on my patio with each person and stare them down. I will know when they do this, my home office window faces this area and my dog gets a bit upset with other dogs using her trails/loop and will bark, funny, someone could break into my home and she wouldn’t even bother to get up but a dog on her loop, she and I draw the line there.

Snowstorms can bring out the best or worst in people or neighbors. With my condo, I have two assigned and numbered parking spots, just on the other side of the road 20 feet away is overflow for folks with more than two vehicles and guest parking for all to use. I only have one vehicle so one of my spots stays empty unless my wonder gypsy son in around. Once this last storm was over I shoveled and then moved my Jeep to an open unassigned spot knowing the plow drivers would be coming thru overnight. I made it a point to get up early to move the jeep back into what I hoped would be a cleared assigned spot at 7:00am. Well, both of my spots had vehicles in them. Who are these jerks? Now my parking spots are a mess.
