The Challenger blew up January 28, 1986

From where I stood... roughly 170 miles from Cape Canaveral. I could look into the sky and see traces of massive smoke. The scene gave me an instant headache. I felt profound sadness for the seven lives lost. An entire nation mourned.

I like your use of the word "segue". I connect Trump to the Challenger Disaster because I sense something ominous about his unprecedented ascension to "The Most Powerful Human In The World" status. This man, Donald J. Trump, has clearly aspired to bask in the Spotlight of the World's Grandest Stage. I can remember the suspense I felt watching live footage in 1974 of Philippe Petit walking his wire strung between the World Trade Center Towers. My heart rate accelerated and I prayed for his success. He demonstrated the utmost in confidence and competence in his craft. I have a lot less faith in Donald J. Trump succeeding at his latest and most incredible endeavor! Does he blow up (fall from a perilous height) or not? Stay tuned!
