I work out in the field and here are a couple pics I took recently.

This one was just a few hours ago. A bobcat sitting there checking me out. Didn't seem very scared. After I checked out what I needed to I got back in my truck and drove closer and only then did he bolt. He was a big one.

And this was about a month ago up in a mountain neighborhood here:

This was about a day or two after a rain so the wet ground made for a good print. I walked off into the woods just a bit to take a wizz and there it was. My head was on a swivel at that point.

You didn't shoot it? They do look good stuffed on the mantle

I want a bobcat as a pet.

No guns in the company truck. Plus I was on Native pueblo land. That would've caused a collosal upheaval around here.

WTF is wrong with people who see a magnificent animal, and their only thought is to kill it for fun? Shame on you. :(

Bobcats are apex predators unless the area is overrun with wild animals it is certainly permissible to take them out.

In the more well-to-do neighborhoods, they are called Robert Cats.

There is plenty for them to eat. Ground squirrels galore.

So many so that we had a Bubonic Plague issue with the fleas they were carrying.

Killing for sport or trophies is indicative of a weak mind and a pathological sense of self-entitlement.

My mother had a bobcat as a pet growing up. Named Robert.

There was a restaurant here in Santa Fe called the Bobcat Bite that for decades had bobcats coming out of the mountains behind it because they'd throw them scraps.

Another day in the office. Took this shot a couple hours ago...

Skipped across the road right in front of me so I pulled over, got out of the truck and walked to the passenger side to get a pic. Didn't move away at all. Just stared at me for a few minutes even as I got back in my truck and drove off, it stayed right there like a statue looking at me. Shoulders were about 3 1/2 feet off the ground.

Clearly not texas, our wildlife here is fearless. We have deer that run through my trailer park, if I set up a camping site at the lake, I keep getting knocked over by deer, they literally do not even fear people anymore, and are so hungry they are eating cedar, and deer hate cedar!!!!

At least they aren't as brazen as this yet.
