Let me tell you all something...

When I reno the master bath in my new house, I plan on putting in radiant heating. We're still trying to decide if we'll replace the flooring in the master bedroom and if so, maybe we'll include it there too. It gets cold in the winter so it might be worthwhile.

I've always liked water heat and my sister had radiant floor heat in one of their homes they built. Nice. But I'm stuck in an old house with a forced air furnace (that needed fixed this morning) and no easy way to change over my house. :( Gonna have to replace furnace in not too distant future being it got put in in 1991.

if your feet are warm, the rest of the house can be a lot cooler than what is usually considered comfortable...

Exactly. I keep the thermostat for the radiant in the lower part of the house at just under 70 and I feel like that is too warm a lot of the time. I keep it just under 65 in the bedroom and by morning I'm feeling a bit too hot some times.

What's really neat other than the warm feet is that the temperature is a constant. It doesn't dip down, then turn on and blow in hot air to raise it up, then dip down again. It's just a nonstop constant temp.

Yup. You step into the house from work and the whole house is warm. No air blowing. No noise. No getting dried out from forced air. And in the morning you walk into the bathroom and your toes get warmed standing there. I know it doesn't sound like much but it is just awesome.

wrong...I am always feeling cold in the winter...it sounds like paradise...yup

And here I sit doubling up on socks like an asshole.

I hate this place and can't wait to move.

Here's hopin'

There's definitely work to be found.

I was flying a Citation CJ2. (CE-525 type rating)

I want to stay in Minnesota, so I'm going to start off looking at some of the "home based" operators like XOJet, Delta Private Jets, NetJets, etc. Wheels Up has some Minnesota stuff, from what I hear, so I might throw an application their way as well. Not looking for an airline job.

Just buy thicker socks
