What song do you love hearing, can't help but sing a long to --- and which song do you scream inside whenever you hear it?

For me...

Best: O Holy Night (David Phelps and Carrie Underwood's are my favorites)

Worst: Elvis' version of Blue Christmas

Too many great ones to pick a favorite.

Worst, by miles and miles: The Christmas Shoes.

i cant name favorites but i can say that most pop renditions and old kitschy songs make me physically cringe

Best: O Holy Night (David Phelps and Kelly Clarkson's are my favorites)

Worst: Elvis' version of Blue Christmas

The best one IMO:

I don't really have a 'worst' Christmas song, but my mother seriously despises the Bruce Springsteen version of Santa Claus is Coming to Town.

Here it is:

I love the Springsteen one.

Worst ever....Cher singing O Holy Night.

First: the video

And, every year on David Letterman show, Paul gave his impersonation:

Worst: all of them
Best: no such thing as a good Christmas song

Bah humbug!

Best: Ave Maria

Worst: Too many to list

I freaking hate "Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer."

And 20 years ago I could've gone the rest of my life without ever hearing Burl Ives's "Have a Holly, Jolly Christmas" or Brenda Lee's "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree."

The number one Christmas song of all times

Christmas, Baby , Please Come Home- Darlene Love on the many years of David Letterman.

My favorite traditional carol is Silent Night

My favorite non-traditional is Fairy Tale of New York

The worst one is hard. Nearly all of the novelty songs are awful and the worst is probably the barking dogs. For more traditional songs that drive me nuts it's got to be The Little Drummer Boy which is just absurdly repetitive and Mele Kalikimaka which is so kitchy it makes me want to gag.

"Santa Lost A Ho"

Because of where I lived, L.A., when it was released, this song was a big deal. Plus my bestie is Cuban and her mom always had the Spanish radio station on in the morning. They played the heck out of this.

It's just not Christmas without that song. :)

Picking a worst song is hard. Some are awful because of the arrangement or the cutesy way the lyrics were altered for the time in which it was recorded (see anything recorded in the 1960's). And then not everyone is going to be familiar with a bad Christmas song because...it's bad. And it's never played.

Bearing all that in mind, this is the worst I've ever heard. I wish I could scratch it off the CD.

I love this rendition of What Child is This?

I have a couple favorites:

Any version of "Blue Christmas" makes me want to jump in front of a bus.

As much as I loathe xmas songs, there is a great one, John Prine, Christmas in Prison.

Best Christmas song - any Christmas song enjoyed during the few days leading up to December 25th.

Worst Christmas song - tie: Any Christmas song played prior to the few days leading up to December 25th and any Christmas song played over the PA system at a mall, bank, restaurant, etc.

What's up with all the Scrooges? Christmas songs are delightful and happy (usually).

Best: Silent Night

Worst: Walking 'round in women's underwear
