New CoverGirl ambassador --- CoverGuy?

looks evil like a clown mixed with those little girls jumping rope in scary movies..

I'm sure this will bring a lot of new business to covergirl.

I had no idea that they do a line of stage make up.

Nope. Not my thing at all.

That being said, my 12 year old niece explained to me that she gets the best makeup tips from drag queen Youtube videos.

Please don't tell me it's Jeffree Star. He's a racist pig.

Honestly, that's the popular way to do your makeup now. Very heavy contour and highlight --- notice he has made his nose look super skinny by putting shadows on the side and a line of highlight down the nose and on the tip. The burgundy eyeshadow is super in right now and the lip is very Kylie Jenner. And, of course, the "instagram eyebrows".

It's not just this guy --- many women do their makeup like that too. Everyone looks better with less makeup than that, for sure. But -- that's the trend now.

This has got to be the most brainless thing I have seen a business do in a while.

Really? They’re being talked about and the only negativity is coming from the very opposite of their target market. It seems like quit effective (and cheap) marketing to me.

Not really. Some of the most famous beauty youtubers are men -- and many women love it.

How could guys put on their cover really help them? The move makes little sense to me.

If they hadn't, ABC news wouldn't have published an article about it. Lots of people will see the article though most probably won't read it in much detail and most of those who do will forget the details (there's a reason the brand-name is in the headline). The name of the brand will stick in some minds... just before Christmas... when lots of people who don't know any make-up brands will be looking to buy make-up as presents. Why do you think so many companies put out adverts that are basically mini-films which have absolutely nothing to do with their products, especially at this time of year? It's all about conscious and subconscious brand recognition.

Why wouldn't ABC publish a news story about something strange and new and all progressive like? Come on, you're talking about a company that is one of the networks that loves shows where women beat up men and or shows that promote every other feminist progressive social agenda under the sun like shows were two dudes are having sex. Of course ABC would publish a story about dudes in make up on magazine covers as it fits their MO to a tie.
