The 11 best countries to move to right now

I whole heartedly support everyone who said they'd move out of the U.S., actually holding true to his/her word.

Singapore is a good place to visit, but I wouldnt want to live there. Too stuck up for me.

Those countries need a younger population

Why younger population? Trump is complaining we are one of the biggest thieves of US jobs.

:2wave:
yes your younger ones visit USA with this logic ,older yankees go to those countries

President Elect Trump. Sweeeeeet.

Hey, I was on board for secession and establishing a great experiment along the lines of North and South Korea.

But damn, if you guys will be so kind as to make good on promises/threats to move elsewhere, hell, I will consider moving back and helping establish a reigniting of our founders ideals. I cannot wait until all those celebs and politicos that threatened to leave make good on those, what I consider, very kind gestures of removing their nasty, under-informed countenances from an otherwise beautiful nation.

Ciao all y'all. :2wave::2wave::2wave:

Most here travel widely. Older ones have tons of money to travel. Older yanks come here to enjoy the nightlife and hook girls.

I know

Austria tends to get overlooked, but it's really nice.

But overall, the article is just clickbait. Bahrain, Singapore? Switzerland is pretty, but a lot of Americans simply couldn't get used to living with the Swiss. A speeding ticket can land your butt in jail, and I don't mean for the weekend.

The trick is finding a good fit, and you won't get that off the interwebz.

Singapore and Bahrain have no business on that list.. brutal dictatorships.

But we all know they won't, any more than anyone who said they'd leave the country if Obama got elected actually did.

Just an FYI to anyone planning on moving and entering their workforce fairly quickly, think again.
Immigration is not that easy, unless you're wealthy.

We import talent to grow the GDP. One out of three people here are foreigners.

Australia, seriously? They clearly didn't factor in all of mother nature wanting to murder you when they made these rankings.

The issue is, is anyone going to financially benefit leaving the US? I hardly see or hear of any jobs that pay better outside the US. I think most people would take a pay cut and an increased tax burden if they left.

Canada's immigration website crashed on election night.

Our economy has crashed since the Liberals took over last year, so a website crashing is no big surprise. Prime Minister Trudeau was probably loading up his latest selfies and buggered it up.

I'm guessing low oil prices weren't much of a factor?

Sure they were, but they crashed before the Liberals were elected and still, after promising to enact "minor" deficit budgets for a couple of years during the campaign, Trudeau came in splashing cash around the world and instituting deficits 3 times what he promised and for his entire mandate and beyond with ZERO effect on the economy with the exception of weakening the Canadian dollar further. With his plans to institute a carbon tax, with the US no where close to doing the same even if a President Clinton was elected, that will further kill the economy and drive businesses south of the border.

But hey, want to come to Canada and pay higher taxes on lower wages and saddle your children and grandchildren with a lower living standard as they try to pay for current Liberal largesse, be my guest. We can always use more fish (um, taxpayers) in the pond.

Easy there bud, I'm sorry the Maple Leafs are struggling but all I did was mention the lower oil prices. Never said I was moving anywhere but soon to be an empty nester so we might look at some place a bit warmer. Although my wife is having fun redoing a bunch of stuff. She also has a really good position. My son is close to you in Canton. Too cold for me. Nov 11 and I have only turned the heat on once. How cool is that! The pellet insert in the fire place is more than enough. The wall trump will force you to build should create some jobs. LOL!

I honestly really do fear for our neighbors to the north. I read reports about Canadians also having the highest personal debt to disposable income among developed nations largely due to the hyper-inflated housing market and the higher cost of goods in the country. I think when the housing bubble bursts things will be rough. Some investors are warning of a 2008 style financial crisis in Canada.

Good afternoon digsbe,

That's possible, but the banking system in Canada is second to none and the housing market in Canada is pretty stable and only hyper active in Toronto and Vancouver and Vancouver has already instituted taxes to discourage the large volume of Asian buyers flooding the markets with cash and scooping up what they see as relatively cheap housing. As a result, the Vancouver market has cooled significantly - down about 40% from last year - although Toronto is still booming.

Housing prices won't go down here, as they did with hyper-inflation back in the late 1980s when inflation was over 20% - can't imagine that happening now with annual inflation barely touching 1 to 2% these days, if that.

There's no doubt, however, that personal debt is high and housing is a part of that - but there is great demand to live in Toronto, very little if any new rental housing, and a booming condo market so as long as demand pushes prices and building, it will remain healthy.
