Wow. They observed the person and they were able to get away.
Though I have yet to see any information to suggest why the intruder was there, even though it is a possibility, I presently do not want to assume it was for Assange.

Maybe he was hunting Pokémon Go?

I doubt it was related to Assange. When I worked in embassies this happened to us a couple times a year. We always caught our intruders, though. :)

Can you show that your experience is typical amongst "Ecuadorian" (iLOL) embassies?

Fair point. They surely don't attract as many wackos as the American embassies do.

Probably a member of the FBI trying to engage in an assassination.

Or maybe it was body snatchers! Uneducated random guesses based on what you want to be true are always so accurate...

It was a cat-burglar looking for those Ecuadorian Crown Jewels.

If you think that is possible you should have a great time reading the replies to the tweet.

They were stored in it's Embassy in London?

Well, of course!!

Hell, everyone knows that someone looking for crown jewels will go after the British stuff and leave the Ecuadoran stuff alone...except for THIS cat-burglar.

Hum. Considering the location, and the sensitive nature of embassy's, I am surprised they do not have a purveyance camera photo of all this. I wonder why?
