My son brought home a kitten and guess who is taking care of her.

The dog gets a bit jealous but gets along great with her. I keep forgetting to take video of her going after her tail.
What's her name? I just lost my little buddy a few weeks ago, a 24 year old Calico named Night Moon. I hope you have as many if not more years with your new family member.
Her name was Francisco until he realized he was a she and renamed her Bella. I already have 2 my daughter picked out a few years ago. (Sugar & Spice) They don't care for Bella much.

This was a good one. I never had such a little one before. Loves sleeping in the headboard.

BAM! Consider me whammed with cuteness!!!!:boom
I hope you watch that baby around your big dog, since the kitten is still so little and could get hurt easily. Later on, the cat will rule, with claws and all.
Once someone told me she was concerned that I would leave my adult cat alone with my cocker spaniel all day. I laughed. My cat was spunky and had all her claws. A couple of times I came home to find my spaniel with a bit of a bloody nose....he had gotten too close to the cat, of course! He steered clear of her after that.
Pretty Kitty.
I've always wanted to raise a puppy and a kitty together, so that they'd be best buddies for life. What we have here with our 2 cats and Chessie, more or less, is a case of mutual tolerance most of the time, and only occasional games of chase, first one after the other, and after one lap, the reverse.
Yeah, but I don't have to scoop the poop of cats - they know how to use the litter box...whereas the whole doggone world is the litter box for dogs, it seems.
And for dogs, the litterbox is dinner!
Can I assume that's a stock photo, Redress?
That's why I'm a cat person. Cat people are smarter, better-looking and smell better anyway (don't let any scientists tell you otherwise!).

A cat will hang around you if you feed it, but you have to earn it's respect, love, and affection. I like that. I like the fact that when I wake up and I have three or four cats on me, it's because they love me (and I'm warm but that doesn't count). Our cats also earn their keep. They mouse and keep snakes and other critters away from the house. I also love the way they talk to you. I've had a few that I would swear in court could say about 10 or so words. I have one now, named Thumper, that can say "out" when he wants out. He even makes a little "t" sound at the end - I laugh every time he does that and I don't know how he does it.
I agree with what you said about cat people. Anyone can own a dog or another animal as a pet, but a cat picks their human friends, not their owners.
