Trump-backing congressman says GOP will use budget 'reconciliation' to repeal Obamaca

Re: Trump-backing congressman says GOP will use budget 'reconciliation' to repeal Oba

So . . . humbolt posts facts and you reply with a complaint about a posting detail and your opinions about Repubs. Poor show.

Jack, I just cant believe you pretend not to know that he claimed "mean ole dems locked republicans out of meetings" but posted an unrelated story about not letting republican into empty meeting rooms. Why do you think he should be allowed to dishonestly dance around that instead of acknowledging it?

Re: Trump-backing congressman says GOP will use budget 'reconciliation' to repeal Oba

I'm not gonna whine about your refusal to acknowledge the truth Vern. I realize it's foreign to you. By all means continue to dribble along with the inconsequential and the untruthful.

But humbolt, I've acknowledged you whined that "mean ole dems locked republicans out of meetings" but posted an unrelated story about not letting republican into empty meeting rooms. I've also acknowledged that republicans obstructed the townhalls to prevent any discussion of Obamacare. Oddly, you accuse me of that as you refuse to acknowledge those facts.

Because it has nothing to do with the substance of the debate, on which he thrashed you.

Re: Trump-backing congressman says GOP will use budget 'reconciliation' to repeal Oba

Oh, I agree. The young and healthy are opting to pay the penalty for noncoverage. The rates are rising exponentially. Putting the entire burden of covering pre-existing conditions on those in the program rather than general revenue is too onerous.

My new motto is Put America First. Before illegal immigrants, before refugees, before foreign aid, before globalization. Let us work to put our own house in order. Obamacare is broken. Let's find a way to fix it.

That's a bit of a contradiction. You're applauding its merits but declaring it broken without any explanation.

That comment is dishonest.

I pointed out the truth Vern. Democrats did change locks with the expressed intention of keeping republicans out. That's not whining Vern. It's the truth, and that's seemingly unknown to you. What we have here Vern, is a multi-post whine from because you can't acknowledge the truth. Not my fault, Vern. That's all on you.

I know asking you to explain your point is a pointless exercise but what debate did he thrash me on? My post to him concerned the fact that he posted "mean ole dems locked republicans out of meetings" but posted an unrelated story about not letting republican into empty meeting rooms. He's going to cowardly avoid that point. You however have often demonstrated an inability to grasp a clear and simply point.

His #31 is conclusive.

actually humbolt, its not the truth when you present it as "mean ole dems locked republicans out of meetings." It just tells me you didnt understand it when you first read it and lack the integrity to admit it. And it was pretty whiny.

no jack its not conclusive. Its just your usual attempt to cut and run from a conversation. again, what debate did he "thrash me on" because I've proven his dishonesty concerning the "mean ole dems locked republicans out of meetings"?

Well here's another truth for you, Vern. When you read something, understand that if it's worth reading, it's worth understanding the meaning behind the words collectively.

1. The democrats in congress made the ACA legislation without republican input and actively sought to prevent any input from republicans, including locking doors. Pelosi herself admitted the process lacked transparency, but you have to understand the import of her words Vern, and not the absolutely literal. It requires thought. I offer that last bit as a reminder to you, since you seem challenged in that regard.

2. The ACA was passed without a single republican vote. The objection then was that the market the legislation created was unsustainable. The results have proved the republicans were correct.

3. The ACA will be repealed by budget reconciliation. Hey. Wasn't that how the ACA was passed in the first place? Yep. Kind of elegant, isn't it?

I dunno. I think I'm going to have a second drink of this fine bourbon here, and go watch football. I can't help it if Vern ate burnt hair and drank vinegar for Thanksgiving.

and thats just another lie you believe. You believing that lie is why it was so easy for you to believe the lie you posted about "mean ole dems locked republicans out of meetings." You cant even admit your own link said no such thing. Why do I need to address the other lies you believe when you cant even admit that?

You don't Vern. You don't. I'd prefer that you didn't, but if you want to, go ahead. From my end, if you'll remember the time during one debate when Trump leaned over to the microphone and said "Wrong", you can take that as my response in advance.

1. The ACA was an ideologically republican plan.

2. Yes, republicans attempted to obstruct the legislation in spite of 1. No, it has been in effect for years.

3. Speculation.

actually you're pretty smart to cut and run from your current and previous falsehoods. As is always the case, when it comes time for a conservative to choose narrative or integrity, they choose narrative.

Last line in first paragraph...putting the entire burden of covering pre existing conditions on those in the program rather than covering the extra cost from general revenue is too onerous.

Re: Trump-backing congressman says GOP will use budget 'reconciliation' to repeal Oba

It's a shame that republicans refused to take part in the ACA at its inception. Instead they just all said no.

No, it's actually a good thing they had no part in this debacle. We tried to warn libs that this thing was a disaster, but of course you wouldn't listen.

His #38 provides the remedial help you seem to need. Humboldt's victory was comprehensive and final. You should try to show grace in defeat, and withdraw to fight another day. That day is coming. ACA will be repealed (or deeply amended) via reconciliation and that part of the Obama legacy will disappear.

So what? Slavery was an ideologically Democrat plan but I'm generous enough to assume you're not pro-slavery.

mmm, that's odd. You can be clear about your beliefs concerning the future of Obamacare but you cant be clear on what you consider I was "thrashed on". The reason its odd is because I didnt ask your opinion concerning the future of Obamacare. I asked about an opinion you expressed when I proved that Humbolt was less than honest when he said "mean ole dems locked republicans out of meetings" and posted a link that said no such thing. So jack, please dont post another deflecting post with random thoughts.

You were beaten on the question of the Dems' closed ACA process. Beaten comprehensively. As I said, you would do well to live to fight another day.
