Obamacare Myths

BTW two years after the ACA passed Obama was still saying the average family of 4 would save 2500 and if you like your plan you can keep your plan. So regardless of whether it was UHC or the ACA he made that pledge either way.

sorry SD, you're going to back up that "two years after the ACA passed " claim. And President Obama was saying you could keep your plan in 2013. I wasn't addressing that so I don't know why you felt the need to post it.

He didn't actually say the amount in this release.
he did say

First, if you’re one of the more than 250 million Americans who already have health insurance, you will keep your health insurance -- this law will only make it more secure and more affordable. Insurance companies can no longer impose lifetime limits on the amount of care you receive. They can no longer discriminate against children with preexisting conditions. They can no longer drop your coverage if you get sick. They can no longer jack up your premiums without reason. They are required to provide free preventive care like check-ups and mammograms -- a provision that's already helped 54 million Americans with private insurance. And by this August, nearly 13 million of you will receive a rebate from your insurance company because it spent too much on things like administrative costs and CEO bonuses, and not enough on your health care.

So he said people can keep their plan, he knew that wasn't true. Gruber admitted it. He didn't give the 2500 amount, he did just say more affordable so its hard to call that one an outright lie.. although several independent studies two years previous had shown rates would go up. I am pretty sure he knew they would go up.
He also said you rates cant be jacked up without reason. that's not true either they only have to provide a reason if the raise is 10% or more. and lastly the rebate he talks about didn't go down like he said it did either.

So right on whitehouse.gov he was telling his tall tales two years after the ACA became law.

He didn't give the 2500 amount, .

I didn't contest "you can keep your plan" statement. I clearly stated he made the "keep your plan" in 2013. so why did you bother to reply? so that's officially two claims I've asked you to back up and that's two claims you didn't back up. why are you at a debate forum?

First of all Vern, what does what 'you' said have to do with my reply to imyoda? you jump in and reply to something I said to someone else like a week ago and want some evidence. You aren't clear what you are asking. you replied to my one line reply talking about his savings and the keep your plan stuff that I was replying to imyoda. He did pledge a savings in the link I provided. he didn't specify how much in that one no. but a claim of savings was clearly there.
