DowFears over the spread of coronavirus have prompted a record plunge in the US stock market, as analysts warned the outbreak could wreak economic havoc on a scale not seen since the 2008 financial crisis.

The Dow Jones industrial average suffered its worst one-day fall – 1,190 points – losing 4.4%, as fears of a global pandemic hit investor confidence. plunges 1,190 points as analysts say virus could inflict as much damage as 2008 crisis

A giant buying opportunity! If you have some cash invest it now.

That's what you said last week. And the market kept crashing. You're just gonna keep saying it until the market recovers and then claim to have been correct. Also, it sounds like you're talking to a trailer park. Everyone "has some cash". When I see your post, I envision a barking snake oil salesman with a horse and buggy, and you're expecting people to start fishing around in their pockets.

So low class.

There's something fundamentally off about the stock market. I think it's been on a tear upwards due to low Fed rates, borrowing, and overvaluation, and that could cause an overcorrection. It might also be a temporary dip. Downturns, historically, don't last more than a few years but it's also getting more and more difficult to sustain growth.
