New Hampshire primary: Absent Michael Bloomberg notches up an unexpected victory | World | The Times

He was not even on the ballot but Michael Bloomberg “won” the New Hampshire primary — at least among the four Democrats in Dixville Notch.

Residents of the tiny rural township have gathered to vote on the stroke of midnight in every primary since 1960.

I'm voting for Mike. He has the resources to clean out Trump's ever-deepening swamp.

Mike Throw-Them-Against-The-Wall Bloomberg, your sort of guy. You're an old white guy too? Non-old white guys might see it differently than you do. It's probably not you who is going to get thrown against the Bloomberg wall when he decides he's had enough of people like you and put the police on "them."

Yeah, I'm kind of with you on that. I don't like that money buys elections but that's a fact of life here. I would like to see Amy win but if she can't then Bloomberg will have to do it.

Isn't that what they (you) said about Hilary Clinton? No one really liked her. Seriously, at no time were Clinton supporters starting pro-Clinton threads. It was all anti-Trump. But it was figured she had the money, power and connections to win.

That's going to be Mike Bloomberg's pitch. No one really likes him. He's a major racist old white man - 14th richest man on earth for which he concludes he should be the most powerful - of unlimited arrogance and uses raw power and money to get his way. People he doesn't like literally should be thrown against a wall until they get the message. BUT, the logic for Clinton is his logic - at least he has the money, power and connections to win.

Unlike Trump, I think that Bloomberg has more money and common sense than ego and will concede that he is not the most electable "moderate" (non-sicialist) demorat POTUS candidate (soon to be) in the race. He will soon (if he has not already done so) realize that Biden's collapse does not mean that Sanders will get the DNC nod if he does not personally win it instead. I expect Bloomberg to end up supporting either Klobochar or Buttigieg.

I agree, and it's why I've never even been lukewarm about him this time around. It seems clear to me he's just not mentally sharp at all anymore, and for lots of reasons that would be a disaster with him as nominee and POTUS. In 2016 I'd likely have been a fairly big supporter, especially against Hillary, but he's not the same person from what I've seen.

He should have had an easy job - be the safe moderate, Uncle Joe, non-threatening to the white suburbs but with plenty of black support and he was teed up for it and just isn't capable. It's too bad in some ways, although I can't imagine him EVER being someone people were eager to support.

Mike Bloomberg has the money, the determination, and the support to finally confiscate guns from Americans if elected to get rid of Trump, who is universally despised by democrat hopefuls who want his job.

We don't agree on much, but there's a lot of truth there. I hate to do the "imagine if it was _____ saying that" thing, but if we're serious and Trump was caught saying what Bloomberg did or telling federal agents to stop and frisk, with no warrants, any Hispanic kid they come across, we'd never hear the end of it, but there's a big part of the Democratic party who want to make excuses. It doesn't say anything good about those people IMO.

Andrew Yang Dropped out of the Race did you see that? I guess the Yang Train Ran out of gas! lol. It's bloombergs money that's able to get him this far. Yang gives the reason why he had to drop out here: YouTube :cool
