Richard E.Speck Jr. was sitting in the back of his pickup truck when a car flipped over a fence and crashed into him, authorities said.

A spectator at a Pennsylvania speedway was killed when a race car flipped over a fence and crashed into the man's pickup truck, authorities said.

Richard E.Speck Jr., 67, of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, was pronounced dead at the scene, state police and the Cumberland County Coroner's Office said in a press release.

Sounds like he had one of the best seats in the place, right up until it wasn't.

I view race tracks like this one where all they do is make left turns to be on the same level as professional team sports where millionaires play for billionaires: I get more enjoyment watching paint dry.
 
An unfortunate event, but a mathematical probability waiting to happen.
 
Poor guy. He also had the same name of an infamous mass murderer. Double suck.
