States have the right to certify their candidates. We know you hate the constitution but states rights.
Constitution sets the requirements to qualify as a Presidential candidate. This is just a publicity stunt.

Why won't your cult leader release his?

If he has nothing to hide, then he should have no problem...right?

The states each run their elections.
I never claimed otherwise. That does not give them the authority to violate peoples privacy. Tax returns contain confidential information.

He has the law on his side. If him not volunteering them to the public bothers you than dont vote for him. Thats your prerogative

Btw are you going to answer my question or continue to deflect

The state decides on who gets on the ballot, does it not? Don't have enough signatures, not on ballot, this is no different.

You are so willing to let your cult leader hide things from you, aren't you?

It really is just that because even if it was legal which it is not. It would not mstter if Trump was on the ballot or not becsuse njs electorial votes are going for the blue no matter what. The publicity stunt would galvanize the right and moderates.

Not deflections, just reality.

Why are you afraid for trump to show his taxes?

Why do you blindly accept that he won't?

Your feckless inability to answer speaks volumes, no wonder you are running away.

You know i been playing alomg with you and answering ypur wiestions as best i can. You however have not showed me the same respect. Ive asked you a straight forward question.

If you think NJ has the legal authority to compell someone to make their tax information public than why not just release the info themselves?

While your at it explain to me why they are not demanding to see medical records so they know the candidate is healthy enough and school transcripts to make sure he has the propper education.

When you make an earnest attempt to explain on what foundation you think the state has to invade someones privacy then we can continue a back and forth conversation. Short of that this conversation is over.

Again, are you for state's rights?

Does it bother you that your cult leader is hiding his taxes from you? (innocent people don't hide things)

Medical records.....has NOTHING to do with this conversation, you are only bringing it up out of desperation (and dude..."propper education", really?)

The state decides who goes on the ballot, nothing has changed, has it?

The sad part is that you willingly allow your cult leader to lie and evade things from you, you should have the cojones to hold your candidate responsible and vet him, but, you chickened out and you let him hide things from you. How pathetic does that make you feel?

He is completely suckering all the rubes...and they are willingly taking it.:lamo

States have the right to certify candidates, but they cannot exclude a candidate for something not unlawful. The can of worms the enactment of this bill would be unacceptable. Should a state decide to refuse candidacy because of the religion the candidate follows, the color of the candidates skin, the candidate's belief in dragons and other mythological creatures, or whatever would be an open door. As much as you have distaste for Trump, think first about the ramifications of such a bill. It reeks of hypocrisy and a future of unexpected consequences that undermine the meaning of democracy and liberty.

Interesting point.

Can't wait on people to do the right thing, though. That's why new laws have to be passed - because there's always somebody who does something that forces the lawmakers to implement new rules.
The exception makes for bad law. Thus far we have had only one candidate in forever that successfully won the Presidency without releasing taxes. It does not justify taking this decision away from voters and handing it over to the legislative branch.

Ummmmm, I think he claims he is being audited. Though the IRS claims that does not stop him from releasing them. He is undoubtedly hiding plenty....otherwise he would claim them to be "the most fantastic tax returns, the best the world has ever seen"

The New Jersey Senate. Big whoop. Mobsters and Democrats. Oops I'm being redundant.

Yeah it's not like the President doesn't own an exclusive club here and comes by every couple of months...oh wait...

I guarantee there is no audit.

yes Trump will be a presidentital candidate in Jersey in 2020. Good golly these people need help.

So we should just trust you and not the headlines, b/c you write a bunch of meaningless nonsense calling people you don't agree w/names???? That really helps your point.

Wait I thought Republicans were FOR states rights...

I'm pretty sure there is nothing in the Constitution that says they can't make their own rules for how to get on the ballot.

Please show where states don't have the right to set the rules for being on the ballot in their state. Seems Trix really are for kids :lamo

Up to the State how they conduct the Presidetial election, innit? That's all wrapped up with the Electoral College thing- in the US the people elect the Congress and the States elect the President. That's what I'm told- did you hear different?
Up to each State how they poll their people and assign their College votes. The Constitution stops there.

Conservatives......all for States Rights...until they aren't.....

There's another way Trump can be on the ballot that the cultists aren't even considering. He can release his tax returns. Like he promised. No need to trample the constitutional state rights.

Tax returns are confidental information.

He has a civil obligation. You have no problem with your cult leader evading and hiding things from you, do you?

You really should be better than this.

The New Jersey legislation would ban millions of poor people from running for president in that state. People don’t have to file income taxes if they don’t make a certain amount of money. Therefore, they wouldn’t have any returns to submit in New Jersey.

And it wouldn’t just ban the poor. If you became rich in the last three or four years before the election, and thus didn’t have five years of returns, you would also be banned from the ballot.

Leave it to Democrats to think of new ways to punish the poor.
