Biden tops declared 2020 Dems in New Hampshire poll | TheHill

Former Vice President Joe Biden is the top choice for Democratic voters in the early voting state of New Hampshire, according to a poll released Wednesday.

Biden was the top choice for 28 percent of likely Democratic primary voters in the University of Massachusetts Amherst poll, despite him not having declared a 2020 presidential bid.

Bernie Sanders came in with 20% & Kamala Harris with 14%.

My personal opinion is that Biden is one of the few who could top Trump.

I think there are several who can beat Trump. Actually don't think he will win the Republican nomination.

If he runs, he'll drop off as soon as he starts speaking. People like the idea of Biden until he starts to actually campaign.

I think he will get primaried,perhaps by a person who recently left the senate. For example I could see a Bob Corker take Trump on and win.
 
Biden could have won in 2016 because he is very skilled at being snarky as an offset to Trump and he knows how to talk to old white people. But he is now aging badly and his time has passed by.

This poll should tell everyone all they need to know about the total lack of any competent talent in the Democrat Party. It is absolutely incredible, in my view, that President Trump actually looks like a pretty good bet to get reelected in 2020 - how pathetic for the American people. And before anyone mentions it, we here in Canada have an A1 dolt as our leftist Prime Minister, so my comments don't come from any perceived voter superiority complex as regards Canadians.

It looks certain that Trump will be primaried. I heard Corker's name mentioned in that regard today.

That's another reason he has no chance. Joe Biden is an old union Democrat, very blue collar minded. He's not a radical socialistic SJWer. That means he has no chance in the Democratic Primary.

I used to view him that way. Then I saw him trounce Paul Ryan in the veep debates in 2012. As a Wisconsin Republican that was very embarrassing for me to watch. Since then, reluctantly, I have grown to appreciate Biden's intellect, experience, ability to communicate, ability to connect with people, and concern about the working classes. If Biden had run in 2016, Trump would now be a bad memory.

This is why I hope he runs. People will start looking at his record and he will sink like a stone. It's a lot easier to be lovable "Uncle Joe" when he isn't in the spotlight.

I had not heard it today. Just thought he is the type of candidate would appeal to moderates and independents.
