I don't generally vote in the midterms here in NJ. The result is almost always is Democrat. Except at various county levels I've lived in. So I'm most likely going to abstain from voting knowing that Mendenez will likely win anyway.
Which is exactly how Trump got elected in the first place.
Conservatives are notoriously tribalistic. More liberal people don't like to be pigeonholed. While that may make liberals smarter, it makes conservatives more dangerous. A less than perfect Republican candidate will not see much if any defection from the party voters. Even a child sexual predator almost won a Republican Senate seat in Alabama. Liberals on the other hand defect way too easily at even the slightest imperfection. If you want to defeat tribalistic hate we can't afford to do that.
