A pro-ObamaCare group is targeting Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) in new TV and digital ads for voting to confirm Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

The ad imitates a breaking news alert, with a narrator saying that the Supreme Court has voted to overturn ObamaCare and its protections for people with pre-existing conditions.

Democrats and activist groups supportive of ObamaCare have argued that Kavanaugh would be the deciding vote against the health-care law should a lawsuit challenging it make it to the Supreme Court.

You can be sure that law suits challenging the ACA will be finding their way to the SCOTUS.

I really think people are forgetting who saved the ACA in the first place: Roberts. It never seems to factor into their thinking about the law and how it survived its first challenge.

I wonder how many more challenges it can survive in a majority RED SCOTUS.

Freedom to disagree goes out the window in UTOPIA!

Some people disagree but we used to be more civilized.

Considering its an epic mess of contradictions and taxing mechanisms that are dependent upon government control to adjust and correct, not long.

In which case, if you assume (which you shouldn't, if you actually know his record) Kavanaugh would be a vote against Obamacare, and that Gorsuch would be, too, the alignment of the Court hasn't changed from what it was in 2012.

Yep because the alternate is so much more greater for those with pre-existing conditions. Folks like you who don’t have those conditions have no idea what it was like before the ACA came about. Maybe if your loved ones were kicked off their insurance because they have cancer, ms, or any other major condition that requires expensive help to just survive (and they died when they couldn’t get it) then maybe you would understand the pain. You want it to go back to that condition. That shows your character.

It just goes to show that the Dems don't care about women. They care about women who share the same ideology.

I'm on Medicare & it's great. Everything costs me $20 + drugs & I have Plan D so I get a big break on them as well. I've heard discussions about Medicare for all that could save huge amounts of money that flow into the coffers of the big health insurance companies. But that will never happen because they are huge contributors to the political parties.

Nonsense. My wife is also on Medicare & she has survived breast cancer & hip replacements along with stays in rehab facilities & we were not impacted negatively by huge bills.

I fell, shattered by left femur, which had to be replaced by a stainless steel pipe in an operation. I lost a month of my life (3.5 weeks in a rehab facility learning how to walk again - with a walker) but the whole thing cost under $100.

NO it costs a lot more that that.

It is that top line we need to get down, 18% GDP for 2016 it it is almost certainly more now is what we are...and that is not going to work.

It needs to be around 11% like so many countries who provide better care than we do do it.

America really sucks now.

We used to be better.

SAD

Maybe you should learn some ****ing manners and don't assume you have the market cornered on empathy.

I have psoriatic arthritis, I have been hospitalized twice for diverticulitis, once at 27---extremely young to have it be an issue. My mother and my aunt both have MS. My mother has rheumatoid arthritis. My father is diabetic. I have another aunt on my dad's side with Crohn's.

Quit posting stupid crap. Everyone has conditions in their family.

Funny thing is that the Obamacare mandate IS unconstitutional as it requires people to buy from private companies. That it was ruled as a tax was a complete joke since in reality it is a fine. Democrats would have been far better off to simply expand Medicare to all instead of writing Obamacare.

And which one of you or your family members were kicked off their insurance to the point they can’t afford it any die? Please list those family members. Your comments reek of bull****.

As someone who has a wife that has Ms, thanks to the ACA the makers of tysobri have a program that gets re-imbirsed by that and my wife can get the infusion she needs and that was not available before the ACA. So you are full of
****.

Doubling down on insults. Thanks for proving my point.

Nope just proving once again your comments are bull****. Tell us again what medication your family member with Ms is on that isn’t covered by the ACA? I’ve listed my wife’s medication (who has MS) is on that is covered by the ACA. Why don’t you tell us the medication that your family member, who has MS, is on that isn’t covered by the ACA.

One, she lives in Oklahoma City and I live in Illinois, I have no earthly idea. My mother is on so much medication it scares the hell out of me.

Its funny, you ask for evidence that isn't evidence. Just so you can make your lying, bull**** accusation real---sound familiar?

Ok, so it is either oine of two scenarios:

#1, if you are over 45, your mother and most likely your aunt are on Medicare right now and not receiving very good medical treatments for MS

#2, you are under 45 and they are getting their MS treatments thanks to the ACA.

That is the only way because before the ACA they would have been kicked off their insurance and unable to afford MS treatments. Most MS treatments, my wife's included, cost way too much ($20K a month) for anyone to afford straight out before the ACA. So you cons effectively want to put my wife in a wheelchair and lose her cognitive ability by giving insurance companies the right to kick her off the policy we currently have.

No bull**** from me at all you are either being dishonest or ignorant. As I pointed out, you cons are wanting to put my wife in a wheelchair by giving insurance companies the right to kick her off. You're damn right I take that personal and will fight you every step of the way.

God you are insufferable. They both have insurance through their work and into retirement.

And you want insurance companies to be able to kick them off their insurance. Or are you so ignorant you don’t realize that’s what can happen with the ACA gone?

One of the things the GOP wants to retain is the pre-existing condition part of the ACA. If you actually knew what you were talking about, you would know that.

You can stop with the abusive horse**** now. Say whatever you want about my posts, stop the ****ing labels and name calling.

Yeah that’s why they are looking to dump the ACA without a replacement first. Suuuuure they want to keep that. You may buy that but intelligent people do not.

Abusive? :lamo :lamo. Oh man that’s historical. I’m just speaking the truth and you and other cons want to put my wife in a wheelchair and lose her cognitive ability by trying to get rid of the ACA without a replacement first. That’s the truth. If you don’t like the truth I suggest you get off computer.

Listen, I didn't toss any labels or names at you so you show me the same basic respect due another human being. If you can't handle that you are the one that needs to step away from the computer.
