House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Saturday called for the resignation of Rep. Chris Collins (R-N.Y.), who is facing charges of insider trading.

"[House] Speaker [Paul] Ryan (R-Wis.) must call on Congressman Collins to resign," Pelosi said in a statement. "No person is above the law, not the President nor his first supporter in Congress."

Collins, an ally of President Trump's, announced Saturday that he will not seek reelection as he mounts a defense against the Justice Department's multiple charges of securities fraud and lying to the FBI.

Time for this dirt bag to go back to Buffalo & join his millionaire friends. Vacant house seats can't be filled by appointment, like in the Senate. So this would give the Dems a 1 vote uptick in the House.

Collins most likely got the inside info from trump.

If you believe trump is not enriching himself in every way possible,legal or not, you don't know trump...

Collins is linked to trump because he was the first congressman to endorse him. Trump likes that kind of loyalty.

There is no law that says he must leave so him not leaving is not him putting himself above the law.....Pelosi is spouting gibberish again.

And....it looks like Collins just stepped down and isn't going to run again.

He has not been convicted of anything and his term ends this year.

Charges do not equal guilt. That remains for a Court to decide. And I don't mean the "Court of Public Opinion."

IMO it is sufficient that he has announced he will not be running for re-election.

There is no need for him to resign, your partisan dreams bolded above notwithstanding. :coffeepap:

The fake news media is linking him to Trump so they can have yet another reason to sully the President.
They must have been filled with glee that Collins has a (R) behind his name.

Forget the actual crime...let's focus on how we can make this work against Trump!

I think the Dems will be running on an anti-corruption platform. So of course, they are going to tie him to Trump's swamp. They would be remiss not, too....especially when the polls are in their favor.

The so-called journalists these days use that sleaze a lot these days; So and so "is connected to" so and so not bothering to explain what they are talking about or how it matters, very often because they are not acting as journalists, they are acting as propagandizers.

Ross knowingly LIED about Flynn and it caused a ripple that actually tanked the stock market. That level of sleaze got him fired.
