Here's how that mysterious In-N-Out burger ended up on the street in Queens | Fox News

On Sunday, a man living in the Queens borough of New York City discovered a perfectly wrapped and seemingly untouched In-N-Out burger sitting in the middle of the street. This stood out to him because there are no In-N-Out locations within 1,500 miles of New York City.

My favorite part:

“It genuinely shook me to my core,” Lincoln Boehm, 31, initially told the New York Post.

Finding a burger from the west coast in NYC "shook him to his core"? Really? I would think that one might find it strange, puzzling or just plain odd as opposed to be shaken to one's core. The times we live in, lol.

This is the foodie equivalent of a Catholic seeing the Virgin Mary's image miraculously appear.

Back in the day it was the height of novelty to find a 6 pack of Coors in NY, too.

I really don't understand the mystique of In-n-Out. Their burgers aren't bad and they're WAY better than BK or McD's but it's till a fast food burger. For a few bucks more you can go to a regular restaurant and get a much better quality burger served to you without the noisy lobby.

A few bucks more? Dude, the burger is $2.00 or something...

It's more like 4 or 5 bucks and somewhere around 7 with fries and a drink. You can get a really good burger for about twice that at most full service restaurants. Some of the gourmet places are more like $15 for a burger meal but around $10 is pretty much normal for out here.

In-N-Out Prices - Fast Food Menu Prices

Hamburger... $2.10

The burger found in NYC was the "double double" which shows a price of $3.45. After taxes in CA, that's close to $7 isn't it?

 Probably pretty close... I just know that I get two cheeseburgers and fries and it is about $7 bucks or so...

From your own link, in AZ the Double Double is $3.52 and a combo is $6.83.

I only mentioned that burgers were around $2.00 to the person that said that they did not know what was so special about in and out because for just a little bit more ($15 bucks or whatever) they could get a better burger). This is false. The In and Out burger is substantially less money and the taste far exceeds that of any other fast food burger... and even of most restaurant burgers. I worked in the fine dining business for 15 years and most of the others that I worked with and talked about this stuff with agreed... take that for whatever that is worth.

I'm actually amazed that anyone had the self-discipline to carry an In-N-Out burger for so long without woofing it down. Those things are to die for!!

I hear in-n-out, I think belly buttons.
