I've seen idiots in the GSMNP show no fear by, among other things, taking photos of their kids just a few yards from mama bear with cubs. I remember a movie they showed at one of the visitor centers in Yellowstone of various people who "showed no fear" of the buffalo, until the animals, among other things, picked them up with their horns and threw them 20-30 feet end over end in the air.

It's not so much a lack of fear but being an ignorant fool.
