Wow! The 57 year old victim lost part of a thumb. The 'Biter' faces a Mayhem charge.

I looked up the statute and noted the peculiar sentencing range:

Section 14: Mayhem; punishment
Section 14. Whoever, with malicious intent to maim or disfigure, cuts out or maims the tongue, puts out or destroys an eye, cuts or tears off an ear, cuts, slits or mutilates the nose or lip, or cuts off or disables a limb or member, of another person, and whoever is privy to such intent, or is present and aids in the commission of such crime, or whoever, with intent to maim or disfigure, assaults another person with a dangerous weapon, substance or chemical, and by such assault disfigures, cripples or inflicts serious or permanent physical injury upon such person, and whoever is privy to such intent, or is present and aids in the commission of such crime, shall be punished by imprisonment in the state prison for not more than twenty years or by a fine of not more than one thousand dollars and imprisonment in jail for not more than two and one half years.

How do you think this charge plays out? Do you expect a plea... a fine... prison time?

Golf Course... “brawl.” They are doing this all wrong.

(Anyway... odds are a plea, minimal sentence, large fine, community service in the hundreds of hours, etc. Perhaps a pending lawsuit.)

I was thinking about which one thought the other was cheating,
or who had the bigger handicap.

I believe the 'Biter' acted out of frustration at the slow play of the 'Bitee'.

My late pop told me that golf is a gentleman's game. So much for that thought.

This is why we cannot have nice things.

The guys just gonna argue that the guy shoved his thumb in his mouth/cheek and the only thing he could do was bite. Unless they have a video of him holding the guy down and biting his thumb off. Then its prolly max 20 years sentence.

Game rage has moved form angry little league parents to the golf Greens..*sigh*

Well, you have a man that wants to suck another mans thumb and fingers; and you had another man being fine to have his thumb and fingers sucked on. Sounds like oral sex to me

Maybe you confused my OP story with a different one? The OP had more to do with angst and punishment.... not one iota to do with sex.

Just saying.....
