Happened August 17, 2016. Three Turkish Coast Guard personnel were reported killed, but I can't verify that - I hope not.

I just don't see how this happens. It appears that the person taking the video was on a Russian Navy Mine Sweeper.

Amazing that this happened. Sad as well. The video is from a distance so there's no gore nor can you even see the guys on the boat.

 
With the pilot house far in the back of a very long and high vessel like that, I'm wondering if the smaller both was out of the sightline below the hull?

It's all I can think of.
 
Two questions come to mind.

1. Why didn't the coast guard vessel swerve out of the way?

2. Why didn't the Russian ship maneuver to help seek and aid Turkish survivors?

This seems a preventable "accident" to me. :confused:
